  1. Pretty good group for a warm up get to know you session, looks to be a shooter
  2. Makes me cringe every time I read this, just not true.
  3. Welcome from Iowa!
  4. Welcome from Iowa!
  5. and nothing about waiting to see if they had a gun or you get shot at, I remember hearing some of the rules of engagement changes they were making in Iraq and thinking that schit ain't gonna work with the training they gave us. I remember helping carry a "hostage" out once, he was already "hurt" but we sure didn't unhurt him
  6. I take the O-ring, toss it on the counter of my local parts store and say give me five of these please, the places that do agricultural equipment repair seem to be the best for variety of materials in my neighborhood.
  7. Brother check the numbers on asphalt, the asphalt lobby is KING of civil construction. Concrete has higher profit margins and longer life when done right but overall we drive on asphalt, they have the BEST symposiums.............. and of course using oil doesn't hurt.
  8. I remember that schit thumping your gut when you are close, I found it very unpleasant to be around tanks and artillery during live fires, never dawned on me to get closer
  9. Make sure to thank the federal government for their part. I think some of that is due to the nationwide implementation of a new asphalt system "super pave". It all sounded great but like anything you try to scale up you find issues. This new system just couldn't take into account all the local variables in climate, traffic, and materials. For decades engineers had tuned local mixes to get the best bang for their buck then we just started training all the new engineers to work the new system and demanded it's use by states to get back the road funds, all at once. Some places have recovered better than others but there is a pile of poor quality asphalt all over this country that isn't going to get near it's projected lifespan. But yeah, the asphalt institute put a ton of data together that sure showed "superpave" to be the schit, even "greener" imagine that. I wonder what percentage of the asphalt industry Old Castle controls now, 7 years ago they owned all 5 asphalt companies allowed to bid our federal work in Iowa, saw the same in several areas around the country, some technical crap considers them separate companies for bidding but they all run the Old Castle logo somewhere, could be capturing an industry dealing with new standards across the board is a cheaper way of monopolizing? Damn government can't fix potholes........
  10. How has your frost been this winter? We have had better than average temps but low soil moisture and lack of snow cover has let it get on the deep side, the heave on smaller slabs is worse than average, still enough moisture for that of course.
  11. I could not get the hearing doctor to say it like that to my wife, I tried, she just said "not necessarily" putting a smug look on my wife's face, they team up like that, any time you are outnumbered pay attention..... I lost my beard to that team work once so this is no bullschit conspiracy theory!
  12. Damn Brothers, good thing we didn't get into "tinnitus blocks out women's voices" excuse and ruin it for him
  13. Welcome from Iowa!
  14. have my pronouns!
  15. So the tube is as far as it goes in those pics? Do you have another buffer tube you could check? Doubt it's the tube though, sure looks like some dimensional issues there.
  16. Anybody interested in a group buy for stickers and yard signs?
  17. That sucks schit, literally stuck having your schit sucked until thaw and that ain't no joke in your country!
  18. Is the hole in the lower for the detent and spring drilled at an angle towards the tube or straight up and down? I don't know crap about the 80% stuff but people that know machining have discussed that issue here in the past. Pictures are a must for this kind of thing, show us what you got.
  19. Crenshaw, he spooked me from word one, I have issues trusting anyone that was ever close to the cia, not impossible to trust but it's a bigger hurdle. Apparently I am not the only one with skepticism, his association with the world economic forum (Claus buddy) has drawn attention; https://americanfaith.com/8-reasons-rep-dan-crenshaw-is-a-globalist-shill-a-warning-to-american-patriots/ https://americanfaith.com/m-t-g-points-out-rep-dan-crenshaws-connection-with-the-world-economic-forum-dans-globalist-friends/ His words on the topic; https://timcast.com/video/dan-crenshaw-denies-association-with-world-economic-forum-list-of-young-leaders/ With all that does it matter either way, does it really matter with where we are right now?
  20. Welcome from Iowa!
  21. This is getting out of hand, no matter what you think about the nfa and machinegun ownership the precedents being set here are scary schit.
  22. Their springs and other small parts are as good they get, they used to sell some nice little kits that had a ring or two in them. And it always pays to call if the site says out of stock.
  23. Welcome from Iowa!
