  1. Welcome from Iowa!
  2. Same places they always do, if we balk they just lay it off on future generations. One change I saw with Trump was the focus shifted to roads and bridges, before that we were putting in hike and bike trails so the road or bridge that needed work could get in on the money. So if the road or bridge was too narrow for a bike lane the funds could be used to rebuild at the proper width, I became pretty familiar with the regulations around those trails and how to exploit them to get real work done.
  3. Sorry for your loss Brother.
  4. Just had the nephew drop off a box of this last night, his buddy has a Creedmoor, I benefit from a no return policy for once. I remember you being impressed with this load so I started squirrelling it away before I even had a functioning Grendel, and thankful I did
  5. Do they stick to it? We had all sorts of buy American laws and contract clauses to enforce but actually spent more time writing exemption requests that would always be approved. And before anyone comments I didn't say I wrote a good one, just the facts you know..............
  6. Preach to me on this subject Brother, always searching for undiscovered improvements. Why single stage on HD guns?
  7. Armalite; https://dsgarms.com/lower-receiver-parts-armea1095 They don't list it seperate on the Armalite site any longer but they might help you out if you called and asked nice. Try searching for that part number and you might find it. I have used these Tubbs springs in both rifle and carbine builds without issue, they are a GOOD bit higher now. https://www.larue.com/products/tubbs-buffer-spring-ar10-sr-25-buffer-springs/#reviews-tab
  8. You obviously aren't invested in the correct defense contractor then. but then....
  9. Deals like this are why I love PSA, dicount code PMAG10 gave me $116.89 in my cart. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-nitride-mpi-full-auto-5-56-bcg-10-magpul-pmag-30rd-gen2-moe-5-56-magazines.html
  10. I would say stick with known components, I don't know what Aero sends for a spring but it should be a better option than you ended up with, indicates something else needs help. Refresh us here on what it does with that Aero spring?
  11. Flatter than I figured being offhand. I could see a purpose for that..... but nobody wants to ship them to Iowa, afraid of a bullschit unconstitutional law we have about triggers.
  12. Cool, gotta love the JB! Good day to grab parts at Aero, 15% off; https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/threaded-roll-pin
  13. That's just test fire one, no worries, post up those measurements. Gas port size may need to be checked, that's gonna slow up getting that carbon seal on the gas block, might wanna just get it measured and have it though. Field strip and look everything over for odd wear marks. If everything looks fine send another box or two with the gas wide open. It can be frustrating when they don't take right off but it's always good to get some malfunction training in on a new weapon.
  14. How many rounds fired? Was the BCG dripping with oil? Gas block wide open? These things take a little break-in sometimes, metal mates up, carbon needs to seal up the gas system, stuff like that. Don't be to worried it didn't take off running the first trip out.
  15. and it takes 80 acres of strip mine in china to get the rare earth metals needed to make an average ev, they love that as well.
  16. Good luck, most people seem to be uncomfortable about an EDC kit on an ankle. A few have thanked me but most "outsiders" I'll say get that odd look, the fact that tourniquets could save a large number of people in mass casualty events never even occurs to them....... wonder why nra? We have a ways to go with education on that front but then that would be proactive which never raises money like the angry reactionary fundraiser drives. and stepping off.
  17. I've been told they are different these days but the set I bought in 2006 is still doing what I need, a few new batteries and one who knows how many thousand operating hours drill refurbish for $75, I might be good for life now. My whole career they have been a reliable go to brand.
  18. MIM parts seem to be brittle, cut a slot over the pin at an angle with a Dremel and twist it open, guaranteed to leave a mark you can tell your friends about.
  19. Those Boys take holidays and family serious, you know they are gonna fix you up.
  20. Break/cut the bolt catch, just have to fiddle with or maybe cut the pin. I bet a threaded pin will still work if careful. Now you can better fit the next one
  21. You post something I can copy paste, make this easy for me and I'll tell them I'd buy two....... would that be a lie or just helping friends? Either way I volunteer.
  22. That's what the high school year book said about me.........
  23. I remember hearing that on a podcast with Dr. Malone of mRna tech fame, he rattled off a number like 98 point something percent of all viruses studied have gotten weaker as they mutated. But then how are we gonna scare people into compliance if we say schit like that? ....... I've got the pitchforks sharpened, working on the brush axe.
