  1. Happy New Year! Liberty First in 2022!
  2. My first deer, large doe, about five foot from the muzzle of my 12ga. on the first shot. She kept moving and I kept shooting, running down the hill after her putting four more slugs into her as fast as I could run the gun. Both of us ended up in a pile at the bottom where she was thrashing and bleating so I quickly threw in a round and blasted her head. Goal accomplished, no blood trail to worry about. Once Dad arrived, surveyed the scene, and took my details I got an arse chewing for ruining so much meat. I was proud, as he told friends the story he would add he couldn't believe the boy hit with every round that fast, somehow I don't think that was the main lesson he wanted to make but I was good with it. Meat yield was pitiful.............. Grabbing a deer by the horns is pretty stupid and pretty dangerous but looking back at my youth removing everything I did that was stupid and dangerous would have pretty much left cocaine and whores, who wants to lead such a boring life.
  3. Congrats! No more slacking at work, those kids are gonna wear you out!
  4. Not the intent of the list, the intent was to point out your response to Matt's question or questions, I ain't going back to look, to point out your response was nothing more than an ad hominem attack void of any factual contradictions to what was said. Good deal, now I'm going to That is a good variety of ammo, lower power to higher stuff. I consider that a pretty solid round count to judge reliability from. Now comes the hard part, lets help others figure out what they are looking for and when it is from. Things like the gas port details, pics of the gas tube in the upper, buffer system measurements, weight and depths, all those critical items that effect function. It would be best in it's own dedicated thread for the sake of clarity, this is a little messy. IF your underlying intention is to help or defend the PA10 cause then please help us unbias this forum so people get a true objective look, a detailed objective look like only someone with weapon in hand can do. Now I'm going to abandon any
  5. I didn't catch that in the description?
  6. and that has been totally a one way street, we're pick'n on you, better go tell. Again, @shaffe48 you refuse to answer any of my questions meant to move the PA10 dialogue forward, take your shot and lay down some positive information so someone searching can get your view with the facts behind it. I've been as polite to you as I would my brother and you ignore me, I shower you with attention and you ignore me, are all the other girls in the room just that much prettier? Please tell me how many rounds through your PA10? Even an overblown estimate counts as an answer, then I can finish the year with some dignity...............
  7. I'll be watching that and what you do with the idea. I had never worried about, once fired for accuracy then used for plinking ammo to fail. Things have changed these days so brass preservation has become a factor, something that inexpensive that works good really makes it a factor much easier to deal with.
  8. @shaffe48, where's that review? Just pick one question I gave related to your PA10 for a start, answers will come easier after the first one, I'll even walk you through it. Come on man lets get this back on track and prove I'm a purveyor of PA10 bullschit.
  9. My Hero! F'k that Deer, I AM MAN! he said, he knew what to do and hung in there. We didn't domesticate all those animals by talking sweet and you don't get lucky if you don't play! I miss doing schit because I can.
  10. I'm feeling ignored @shaffe48, I asked several direct questions relevant to this thread and you won't even glance at me, is @98Z5V that much prettier than me that he gets all your attention? Almost like you have some kind of battered women complex.......... Here I thought we could lay down something constructive here............
  11. You think your slippery not actually stating the facts, looks more like floundering from here. Again you are correct, blind squirrel theory I think, it isn't complex, my decision is to help those looking for information get it, get it? Sorry the written record for the PA10 looks so shaky here but it is what it is. Best thing you could do for the PA10 cause Mr. Fanboy is show it, show the piles of brass, show the targets, show the rifle, share the observations. You wanna make a difference post up the review, your word with an in hand rifle should go miles further than the warnings from those that don't and won't own one like me, don't be scared, trump me.
  12. I did that but could not find where you responded myself, you know the probably one kind of ammo and a safe queen guess, could have missed it though, please clarify. Other than seemingly having some magical source of in formation showing that problems with PA10's are disproportionately represented and maligned here you really haven't shared schit but opinion so that makes your entire contribution to the PSA debate opinion, the experience that forms my opinion is here all over these threads, what experience forms your opinion?
  13. I worry way more about corporations poisoning me than Bob down the street. I don't like the idea of government regulating something they have no business regulating. Making it criminal in the first place does just that makes it a criminal thing. I see gambling the same way, none of their business, and just like pot only the select will be allowed to profit...... and the state of course. The only way crime leaves a sector is when the profit is gone, the only way that happens is for government to leave people unto themselves. Legalize it all, hand out the strongest crack and heroin you can for free, it will be a rough couple years but a lot smarter populace in the end.
  14. My Grandma was fond of saying "Wish in one hand and schit in the other, see which one you get the most of." she would say it in Finnish at times but it was plain English in my brain. My thoughts on the PA10 whatever version are not based on wishes, they are not biased by the fact that PSA has regularly gotten the lions share of my yearly gun budget, they are biased by the disproportionate number of PA10 buyers that show up here looking for information and or help on the same issues over a period of years. Now for this forum it has been a boon, we've gained many a brother here due to the PA10. I do have a wish, I wish PSA would make those few tweaks needed and put out the best bang for the buck 308AR available like they do with the AR-15, but I'm not gonna say that in front of Grandma. I'm gonna continue to lay down words that make anyone looking aware that there is a risk of issues when buying a PA10, and yes many do the research and the math, go with the PA10, do the fixes, and have great rifles and THAT is the goal around here, great running rifles that get run. Your ad hominin bullschit will be called every time.
  15. Never have been able to get to the video, if it's the one I'm thinking they were pretty crisp.
  16. I have a mount of that style with a PA 4x16 I use for test firing and breaking in new rifles. Almost always have to adjust the levers to get the tension right for each rail, if it's easy to open the levers then it ain't tight enough, ADM's directions on that seemed a bit misleading to me. I usually end up with some wear marks right ahead of that front lever as well, can't say it's been an issue.
  17. Then what is the problem...... never mind, took me a minute to comprehend the effect of the group set on that statement. No worries there, it's glaringly obvious you are punching up. I suggest you go read and comprehend the logical fallacies, avoiding them would make a better defense of the PA10, pay close attention to number 4. https://utminers.utep.edu/omwilliamson/ENGL1311/fallacies.htm More than just PA10's can be tuned up around here.............
  18. Realistically we get a pretty good idea of who has issues and who doesn't, who fixes issues and who doesn't. PSA makes me grouchy because there was a no cost to them breakdown here on how to make their rifles run great before they had been out a year..... but then their rep was gone by then if I remember right, didn't stick around to blame ammo very long. Who knows how many people THINK they have a functioning rifle in the safe.
  19. Welcome from Iowa! As said above the true DPMS branded uppers may be hard to find now. I don't know why an Aero upper wouldn't fit for you, won't blend seamlessly to the lower but should function fine. https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-stripped-upper-receiver-1
  20. Straight from the man that said it, it was a joke..... that makes it all better right? https://nypost.com/2021/12/25/oregon-dad-claims-lets-go-brandon-during-norad-call-was-a-joke/
  21. Wow, just wow. Interesting msm spin; https://www.reuters.com/world/us/santa-tracking-call-biden-is-told-lets-go-brandon-says-he-agrees-2021-12-24/ red team rah rah, https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2021/12/25/media-outraged-over-parent-who-told-biden-lets-go-brandon-n2601069 I keep asking, who is the mandatory reporter at the WH? Everyone can see the elder abuse.
  22. My mind just refuses to believe they let that happen, even live radio has a delay...........
  23. They're a decade or better behind in that accomplishment. Lots of makers have morphed over time, I can't imagine all the R&D some parts must take with all the variations........ then again seems like a lot of companies rely on customers to discover the issues.
  24. Darkest Hour, a bit oversimplified but if you worship Churchill you'll love it, if historical accuracy is important to you skip the aggravation.
  25. Chunk of chain padlocked to the U joint was my go to as kid........ I gotta investigate those weights some.
