That was part of my problem, I didn't want to go to far so I would stop and clean them up so I could look close, that is some sticky crap Wheeler sends with the kit! I think I might just use some of the Clover compound I got years ago from Brownells, it cleans up much easier!

Got the scope today, lapped rings most of the night.........I'm moving the BTR-2 model to my P716 and putting this one, BTR-1, on the M15TBN. I had all the mounts I needed to do this but had never lapped any of them....it sucks so I hope it's worth it! Surprised me the cheap Primary Arms mount was way closer than the Armalite was.

Spot on, we need more of this all across society. I think most people understand the problem but most politicians would rather contribute to dividing us rather than uniting us around issues like this. The price we will have to pay again for real Liberty just keeps climbing.............

An "All Other calibers" subforum might be something to consider. It seems to be an up and coming trend to get these rifles in alternate calibers....then again maybe not, it would just serve to tempt me into one for myself..........

I took my Granddaughter, my oldest niece, and her friend from Virginia to the range for a morning of shooting. They all did real well. There were several 10 in a rows on the steel dueling trees and some 5 inch, 5 round groups at 100 yards with the red dot on the PM400, they were disappointed in the spread at first but cheered up when they saw my old eyes couldn't match them. They all hit very well with the ArmaLite M15TBN, only 4 misses on the 100 yard steel out of 50 rounds! They shot 200 .22 from a Ruger 22/45, 250 9mm from my MK25's, 100 45ACP from my SA 1911,80+ rounds of 5.56, and 40 rounds of 308. It does the heart good to see these youngsters so enthusiastic about shooting!

Still $100 cheaper than it would have been <laughs> The sting of being broke is lessened by all the cool stuff showing up in the mailbox!

I found the same info when deciding first or second plane, to small a reticle at 1x on the FFP to be useful. I doubt you regret buying it.

That model number shows as a second focal plane, the SF in the model number gives it away. Either way that is a smokin deal!......wonder how upset the wife will get if I dip into the savings...........
