  1. I guess every week of manufacturing has a Friday. And even my beloved Armalite isn't immune to it. Even a machinist can have a fuked up day. Though.....it still surprises me that this would've made it outta QC. But, I guess anything can happen
  2. Rsquared

    Busted

    Definitely a Vet brother.
  3. Say it loud! Say it proud my brutha! <lmao>
  4. Aye!
  5. Nah. It sounds like more than it really is. I've talked about the G3 clone I have before. And technically, the FAL OSW isn't German......but it's close enough of a design to be appreciated as German engineering. Hmmmm.........now I gotta go check the fine print on the last page of the trust.
  6. Hmm. Odd. For a common issue........I've never heard of it. Granted, I don't pretend to know everything........or anything for that matter. Sounds like a hone job is in order. Otherwise.....it'll definitely happen again at some point. Why did the firing pin have to be sacrificed? It wouldn't drop out after removing the retaining pin? Just curious.
  7. I meant for the buffer and spring. But I see what you meant there. I didn't specify that I guess. Just trying to make it easy on the guy to get him back to "running" status.
  8. You went back to work? I'm not surprised. Of course you did. That's what we're supposed to do. <laughs> Heal up brother.
  9. Definitely. But it would have to be in the southern states. Even though mine is "technically" part of the south.........it isn't anymore. It hasn't been for quite some time now. And it just gets worse when you venture north of my area. But, I'd be in for us east coasters trying to set something up. Hell.......I'll even fly Rene in so we can have some laughs <lmao> that means that him and I (and anybody willin to dive in) will drink ferociously...................................................
  10. Welcome aboard.
  11. Welcome aboard from MD Sinthor. I've got the 12" POF P308, and it shoots just fine. I haven't (not yet at least) run into any of the issues that people float around about their equipment. But to be honest, I haven't ran it anywhere near as much as some of my other stuff. For the record, I only have one other SR25/DPMS patterned rifle. The rest of mine are AR-10's......or of Germanic design battle rifles. <laughs>
  12. He hit that outta the park also.
  13. God damn I'm disappointed that I couldn't make it. Spring will be coming though......................and an MRAD WILL be with me. You fukin bastards. <lmao>
  14. As far as your barrel is concerned. I'd be patient, and just replace your BCG with an Armalite one. That would fix your whole upper assembly issue. Noveske makes some damn nice $hit. I've got a couple of their barrels on some of my builds. They're definitely top shelf equipment. **** - side note. what gas length is that 18" barrel (mid-length I presume)? just wondering......in case you're gonna sell it. <laughs> For the lower, you already have the PRS stock. Verify that you actually have a rifle length buffer tube, then go to heavybuffers.com and get one of Slash's setups for a rifle length setup (you can get rifle buffers and springs elsewhere.......but he's a loyal sponsor of this site). You'll be just fine after that. Otherwise.....you're chasing problems all over the rifle all at the same time. We've all done it brother.......and it can frustrate the $hit outta you. Remember the rule of KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid.
  15. ^^^^ <nutkick> I take it as LOVE my brother. :love4:
  16. Damn.......that had to be one $hitty week to make you wanna settle for that. <lmao>
  17. Welcome from MD
  18. Now THAT's Fukin funny!
  19. Well fella's. She's out. And you were right about the congestive heart issue thingy Doc. As soon as I "heard" you write that, the light bulb went off in my head. That was exactly what the "other" doc had said. Like I said. One day I'll learn to write this $hit down, so that I can talk more intelligently about it. Compared to the "caveman staring at fire" that I am. She feels like she's been run over by a truck.....but the ticker is still going. She's still not 100%, but moving in the right direction. She wants to go back to her house in Ocean City (eastern shore of MD). So, if things are well, the old man is gonna pack her up and go back down there in the morning. I'm gonna spend my afternoon/evening with my daughter. My son and his old lady are already out in Reno (visiting her mother for christmas), so I told him not to bother to fly back since everything is looking ok. Then, I'll probably roll down to their place the following day. The daughter may go with me.....not sure yet. . That what she wants by the way, my mother that is. I told her to stick around, cause it's Christmas....and she absolutely loves my daughter to death. Her only granddaughter. BUT, as all women can be (even our mothers), she wants to roll out back to her place. Either way. Thanks again guys. No matter what anybody says........this crowd is the best.
  20. 5/8 x 24. I take it, that it's the flash hider type that you want to replace. If you're replacing it with another AAC adapter, I'd say go with the Brakeout comp instead of the full brake. I have both on various rifles. For good all around use, the comp works great. Now, if you don't give a rats ass about the guy next to you at the range (and why should we)..........the full brake smooths out a lot of the recoil.
  21. Just for the record Zeb. I already got a couple Atlas bi-pods. Along with a multiple Harris bi-pods. The others just love planting there foot squarely between my balls.
  22. I hear you brother. Just doing some friendly ball bustin. Nothing wrong with cheap (inexpensive) pistols. Worse thing that can happen is that they don't run properly. Then......either try to fix them......or throw them away. <laughs> Sheesh! You too?
  23. I'm assuming that you've run this thing with the standard mags? If not, try a few. I've got the elite dark 220 and have never had any kind of jam. Even when running it suppressed. Albeit, only with standard mags. Worst case, you can send me the mags for some extensive testing. And I won't even charge. Just the kinda guy I am.
  24. Or drunk. Hmmmmm..........or both.
