  1. Definitely with Edge on this one. You don't really build a rifle in order to save money (so to speak). You're usually building it to get exactly what you want right out of the gate. When you buy the off-the-shelf rifles, you're going to slowly (or quickly) start swapping out parts to get what you want anyway. Every rifle that I build usually has a specific purpose, or a specific look that I'm going for. And, like Edge said, I usually don't need to change any parts once I get them together. Oh, and the OBR/SR25/AR-10 SASS style rifles can get up into the teens (in weight) pretty easily once they're dressed out with glass and a bipod (no...not the Elite Iron one either)...especially with full 20 round mags.

I may be from Maryland, which is known for the crabs from the Chesapeake.........but you all can have those damn bottom dwelling sea spiders. I'll stick to the four-legged land-based moo-ing variety as food.
  3. Yep.......he'll drink to anything.....or for any reason.....or cause. Sure glad that I'm not like that. <laughs>
  4. Yeah....the wait for the ATF seems like forever. Watching paint dry goes by faster. I'm only about half way through the last two Form 1's I filed back in early February (I think). I try not to think about it too often. Or.........you have to start buying some class III stuff every month. That way...once the flood gates open....you start getting cool stuff once a month. <laughs>
  5. I'm kinda shocked myself. Have no fear.......it'll be jacked before you know it.
  6. Welcome from MD blackeyes.
  7. Buy an inexpensive gang box. Only a couple hundred bucks. That's decent for short term storage. Weigh it down. Bolt it down. Chain it down. Whatever you want.
  8. Pretty much what I said. I could go down the "I told you so" route. But I'm a bigger man than that. <laughs>
  9. I'm liking the rail on that thing. She's lookin good Clay.
  10. Congratulations shibi.
  11. ^^^^ Too many jokes coming to mind.
  12. No doubt.
  13. You're from Maryland aren't you? Then yep.....it's true. <lmao> After all......that's what our state tells us all of the time.
  14. Yeah. What's with the screws on the left side? What am I missing here?
  15. I'm definitely liking that rail. It just may have to go on one of the builds that I have on the backlog schedule. That is......if I can ever find the time to get back to building some of these damn things. This working for a living sucks. Can't I just find someone to sponsor me to stay home and do whatever I wanna do? Oh $hit......I guess that would make me a wife then. <lmao>
  16. Uuuuhhhhhhh. Did you just call somebody old? <lmao>
  17. Well of course it does. Unless it has brand new F-ing 10 round mags. <lmao> Sorry.....inside joke.
  18. All jokes aside there Matt. That thing would look great on my MRAD. Screw that Elite Iron POS. I can see that I'll have to be making a trip to the Carolina's reeeeaalll soon.
  19. Don't waste a good beer brother.
  20. You heard them all. Spread em big boy. <laughs>
  21. +1. Band of Brothers is a kick-ass series.
  22. That's pretty cool.
  23. That S3G you have in that Mega of yours was pretty damn impressive (with you behind the trigger). I'm thinking of replacing the trigger in my 10 shorty for one of those after seeing that thing in action.
  24. Glad to hear you've got that worked out.
  25. That's a good lookin piece of hardware there Jim.
