  1. Pretty much the same here. My friends and I would call the local police barracks to let them know that the state wasn't getting invaded if they received calls about full auto gun fire. The guys were always super friendly and appreciative for getting the call. The only time that we had anybody roll up on us was when we were out in the western Maryland mountain area of Washington county. But it turned out that it was the owner of the adjacent property that we were shooting on. He was an off duty state trooper, and came rolling up on his four wheeler. He wasn't there to bust our balls or nothing. He was just curious about what we were all playing with.....as he showed up with a big $hit eating grin on his face.
  2. An outstanding find Al. Thanks for sharing that.
  3. In the grand scheme of things. When you spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on weapons, it's not worth trying to save a couple bucks when it comes to commercially transporting them. Not trying to compete @Lonewolf McQuade, cause he can work some magic with a hard case. But this is how I transported my stuff the last time I ventured out to Arizona. All stacked and ready......................... Interior details. 4 rifles, 3 optics, 8 mags, 4 suppressors and a sidearm w/spare mags. Side note. The look on the TSA guy's face was hilarious.
  4. Okay. That's fukin hilarious.
  5. I see what you did there smartass. And it's the beer that keeps some of us from going postal. I mean, you've got the whole Cali thing happening.....but DC nonsense really tries your patience. In between insurrections and everything.
  6. I love a good challenge.
  7. Yeah. I pretty much stay in the area only because of the job, and to watch over my aging parents for whenever they need help (they're both in their 80's down in Ocean City). Both my kids are grown and have punched out of the east coast. That's my plan too. Born, bred and grown up around here. Can't wait to get the hell outta here and never come back. The whole region is just way too toxic. Anything that touches DC gets infected by it's cancer. But I'm nowhere near as bitter as I sound. Sarcasm intended.
  8. Sorry to hear that brother. That makes for a tough day.
  9. Yeah. I'm in the occupied green zone of Pistol Grip county. Just a couple exits up from the redskins stadium. So yeah, it's kinda hood.......ish. As far as shooting. I don't go to public ranges. I can barely stand the others at the private club/range that I belong to. When I do go, I usually wait until extremely cold/rainy days just to ensure even less of a chance of running across anybody. After all, the rifles don't care about the weather. Well, I shouldn't say that I guess. I don't have anything against any of the other members of the club per se. I just don't prefer large crowds (or small ones for that matter). Especially when weapons are involved. That's not counting any of these jokers around here when we do our Arizona fall meet-ups. Which I've missed for the last 2 years. They're a blast....literally. There's a reason they call me a hermit around here. Ha-Ha Cheap? I find that offensive my man. I like to think that I throw nothing but top-shelf, high quality shots at people.
  10. An outstanding story of the man. Thanks Rene.
  11. Welcome aboard from another citizen of the peoples republic of Marylandstan.
  12. How much did @Belt Fedpay for that?
  13. Yeah.....that's how it happens.
  14. Looks good. Run it.
  15. Welcome aboard from Maryland.
  16. Some will get it.
  17. This kind of $hit has always driven me crazy.
  18. Yeah, we could tell.
  19. Pretty funny, sad and accurate all at the same time Jay.
  20. A clutch is like a security device for the young millennial generation.
  21. Yeah, that sucks to hear that brother. You would hope that a kid would wake the hell up by that age. But some never do. It blows that you have to clean up his $hit. It doesn't help, for what it's worth, but I'm the youngest of three boys (I'm 55), and the other two are worthless, with the middle brother being a complete Fuk-up. And he always was. So like I said. Some will never grow out of it. I count myself lucky that the two evil spawn that came from my loins have actually turned out to be pretty ok. Though I would never tell them that. A practice that any real father would follow.
  22. Yeah, a good side by side would probably work out for you all. Oh yeah. The ranch. All of us still need to invade that place for a good long weekend of debauchery.
  23. Just ordered it. Thanks Doc, ya passive enabler.
  24. Interesting read. Another good find brother.
  25. That was Tommy's or Matt's wasn't it? I'm still shocked that Doc hasn't had to buy her one yet.
