Well, the pre-season actually began last night, and the more things change, the more they stay the same. Saints sucked as usual. Fumbles, interceptions, lack of effort by most of the receivers, arm tackling, give up long plays, and penalties, penalties, penalties. I want to think that this being such a young team they were just getting out some jitters, but I'm afraid that's wishful thinking. Highlight: rookie wide receiver Mike Thomas from Ohio St. (pains me to say that.) He is going to be all-pro. Lowlight: everything else. Remedies: trade running back Ingram for a 5th round draft choice, cut receiver Brandon Coleman, bring out a cat-o-nine-tails for the defense and use it after each missed tackle. Might work.
