I like how you got it to stay right side up.

A friend just finished his SI build. His original gen 4 set had a huge gap at the rear take down pin. Sent it back and got return service quickly. It's a great fit now. Good quality finish. Nice rig he built.

So Saucony is related to them? I discovered my Saucony athletic shoes at Big 5 for <50$ and have owned 3 pairs now. I'd put them up against the best, they are very comfortable. I like those boots there. I'll look into those as I need some new everyday boots. I have a great pair of military issue boots, top of the line, flat dark earth, I tend not to wear them much at all because I don't want to screw them up too fast, they are too nice to do outside work in. They were given to me new by a military friend.

Nice little group, MarkDavidson... So what's the recipe?

It's their latest offering within last few months. BLKSHEEP, you may be thinking about the SS HD 5-20x50. That one is heavily reviewed and praised. About 1500$ for illuminated version. http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-HD-5-20x50-Tactical-30mm-Riflescope-P51642.aspx

SWFA SS 3-15x42 mil/mil $800. Very tough, good glass, side focus, love the reticle, quality, lifetime warrenty & great customer service. http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-3-15x42-Tactical-Rifle-Scope-P62238.aspx http://8541tactical.com/2013/04/25/swfa-3-15x42mm-rifle-scope-review/ Does it have to be variable? I have SWFA 12x mil/mil and it is quite a good scope for $300. They have a 10x, 12, 16 & a 20x offered.

^ IMR 4064 & 4895 are close together on my burn rate chart, with 4064 being the slower powder of the two. Perhaps Alliant Power Pro 2000 MR or CFE 223 would be a good choice. Those two are virtually the same powder and several powders, on my chart, slower than the previous two. Imr4350 may be a goodie!!

Having to listen to the libtards, whom surrounded me daily, having to listen to their bs. Something to love at work? Watching the libtards Obama world crumble before them. I knew this day would come and I told them so :)

Yes, I'll be looking forward to that for sure. Going to range and coming home to redo was a slow and pain in the arse proposition. Plus I never cleaned guns at range after sessions. I would be smart to do so right away after shooting at home.

This.. I might too if I had a bolt gun. I want to have a tacticool bolt action but we'll see. My brass doesn't last long either. I tend to load on the fastest node I can find around max charge and ill get 4 loads max before too loose primer pockets. I think if I did long range competition then I might go the distance with all the tricks but naw, I don't need another pain in the ass step right now. I think I am the weak link too. So more shooting will help me the most. I am moving onto property where I can shoot 2/300 yards anytime I want, as long as the cows aren't in the way, if so ill be selling steaks. I do use the best dies for .308. Mine are Forster, Redding or Forster probably best sizing & and seating. Since I am moving I am loosing most all the stuff for reloading. Will need new press and periferals, everything except those dies and for .308 only trimmer. I'll get new 550B Dillon, Dillon beam scale, I do charge all .308 loads by hand. Need new Thumler's tumbler for SS media brass tumbling. I own the media. I will have to spend up to $700 or more to be able to reload again. Gonna build me a covered shootin station outside too... I think, because I have those tools and plywood and roofing materials already.

Scope has been very good. Great little scope, very robust. Nice features you might not expect, like thread protectors when running no turret covers, or a space in the illumination knob for spare battery. I use it on 1x or 6x. Everything in middle of power range is just to get between 1 & 6 in my thinking. The zoom ring is quite stiff so I got the switchview lever for it now. They will sell poop loads of this one.

Another note on the Tubbs Final Finish fire lapping bullets. I used them for my .308 JP stainless steel Supermatch barrel, which I believe to be from a Wilson blank. I bought the whole Tubbs kit which includes 5 increments of abrasive bullets, 10 rounds apiece. I thought I'd be using all the increment groups but when I got the kit I read the instructions in detail and it stated that when used with a hand lapped match barrel, or of this sort, use only the last three abrasive compound groups. Do not use the first 2 in order more abrasive groups. So that's what I did with just the 3 lesser abrasives, in order.

I know, just a year ago I paid 40 for 2000 Remington. But these Federals are the only ones (non magnum) I've seen on a shelf for months.

If anyone happens to read this and you live in the greater S.F. Bay Area, South Bay is good, Sportsman's in Cambell has 3 boxes left of Federal 210 Large Rifle Primers, qty 1000 per. I took 2 boxes $60 each.

Well the Hitler in the bunker parodies are pretty good

Those fkn Tornado's. The worst quake I ever experienced was the Loma Prieta quake of 1989, in the S.F. Bay Area. It almost killed me, literally. That one was 7.9 if I remember. These Tornado's, they make that quake look like a ride at Disneyland. Though lot's of people were crushed to death when the double decker freeway in Alameda collapsed, those twisters are mother fkrs and I don't want any part of them, FRACK THAT!! All those poor souls, my God...

Normally, if the roads are dry, we go up to the Stanislaus National Forest. 8000' up and 13 miles from the highway entrance. It's a haul in there but a perfect spot next to a running creek, a reservoir, Relief Reservoir (Kyaking/canoeing/fishing), is 2 miles further down the road. The spot is secluded and nobody else is around. The scenery with all the peaks up there is spectacular. The roads are dry for sure now. If not we go on the 4th. We also go labor day holiday. We have all the camping goodies including the required pooper tent. We have a hot water shower setup, it's awesome.. If roads weren't open we have an alternative. Regretably I cannot go this time since I am moving this weekend.

^ well shoot, they had at least 6 bottles at a LGS on Friday. I have to go down there again Monday morning to drop off my pick up for timing belt change. The gun store is about less than medium .308 range from the there. Guess I'll think about going back in there.. It was $33 a pound.

I have a Win M94 Trapper carbine in .45 colt and one in .44 mag. First guns I ever bought years ago. They are lots of fun. I load/shoot Hornady FTX bullets .225 grain each of them. Those are some dang cool bullets. I do XTP's also. The sights really suck. I've wanted some Wilson's for some time now but money has been going into the LR-308 stuff. But lately I wonder if some kind of red dot thing would be better for me & my 51 year old eyes? Back then I payed about $275 for each of those guns at Big 5, LoL!
