Well if you carry concealed or other, pratice should be in your future.. I say practice but not what you do on your own? I am a decent shot at any range with a pistol on paper. Ive owned a pistol for about 22 years, and have what I thought was a good (grip) on shooting as I cc for the last 10 years. Yesterday I took some friends and dads to a basic combat pistol class. (fathers day present)I was humbly overwhelmed by what I was fundamentally missing! let alone the just talking and scenario section of the class.. not as a legal teaching but kind of a do's and don'ts as well as what to look for and some easy guidlines to follow. The colors of situational awareness: white/ yellow/orange/red/black.. also o.o.d.a. its hard to explain from my point of view but with a person as my instructor that has mill/ leo/ swat under his belt, he has a story that he has actually been thorough to explain how this works! Then the adrenaline part. lots to learn lots to take in and digest.. but I hope i dont hit that level or am as prepared as possible! next was lets do some hands on drills! We are cold range for the first part so we dont have to review the saftey part real time! We learn to draw from the hip in 3 steps. Safe gun handling: Ignorance and carelessness can kill. we started with stance. there are 3 he spoke on but traind isosceles (spelling?) square up to your target. grip: hit the pistol in the holster as high up as possibe sight aligment/ combat sight picture ( both eyes open) front sight Trigger pull and reset low ready and assess position "soul" and scan for other threats. soul is a neat way to stay ready but not up in a fighting stance! hands and gun to chest 360 pan.. then we do combat and tactical relodes and the knowledge of why and when to store mags . whew!! Time to go hot! Implement all that!! Its a great experience to say the least! Everyone had so much fun we skipped lunch and put in about 8 hours of a day learning and praticing new skills! I recommend finding a class even if your a novice and train with other people not as experienced.. you will learn from their mistakes. I left alot out, but its alot to take in.. last of all thanks to @magwa for the kimber 1911 I was able to lone it to a vet for the first part of hands on so he could get the basics down good enough to handle his compact pistol.. then I finished the day with the kimber. This pistola is lights out!! Thank you brother!!🍻🇺🇸 Ill pratice this for some time and take class 2 and he offers a carbine course.. im hooked!! as its been said. " best fun you can have with your clothes on" !!

was a bit chaotic getting 3 types of meet to cook evenly.. Jerk chicken , jerk beef and rosmary lamb kabobs. It turned out good enough to melt in your mouth, and didnt get final pic..

Very true ! I did dance on the line here * I suppose a different mag than? I've tweeked the glock mags alot and don't feel i can keep a full mag from spilling out after the next tweaking? However I did get 1of 4 magas to run pretty good! 3 ff in 22 rnds thats progress! I do not recommend doing what I did to my own gear! 🍻

Wait I don't have to adjust my gas or mill my lowers for recoil marks when it's properly built... shiiitss! I once said I'd drag a pa10 behind the jeep down a dirt road for a dirt test, they are throwing gas on the fire!! WOW! Have you seen the drunk vid of the dude lighting his farts and burns his ass. yeah can't fix stupid. For the record I have had psa parts recoil marks and @98Z5V set me straight at the fall shoot and I invested my 1.25$ on a new armalite reciever tube , spring and buffer.. I fixed stupid 🤗

I'm using Winchester white box 40 s&w 165gn and some relodes made from RBS ammo I bought cheep several years ago. The ammo has been flawless in my glock .22 and the 21 modified mags still fit and hand functions.. I have the dies and components to relode but havent seen a need to yet.. If the .40 ends up as fun as the .9 thats another means to get busy, saving the brass..

The gun shop I did work for was doing the hydrodipping on that.. he is no longer in business.

Im sure im putting more effort in other things to make the lower work.... but its just a few small tweeks on my end and not sending it back? I don't mind the challenge, it's the fubared ammo on the range when I should be having fun!!🍻🎯

Its a 10 oz buffer and the recomend spring from fm products. my failure was 2 part with one out come.. mags were half, glock mags they have stop shelf on the left side that was hitting to soon, afew file strokes and done. The other was no feed ramp at all. If you look at the barrel pick, there is a slight bevel around the chamber, that is all i had for a ramp. The outcome is a smashed bullet into the case every damned time. sooooo I cut a bitch! used the dremel and a diamond file then polised with dremel. is working now with flat tip projos👍🍻

Don't know if I've had a build post and a doesn't work thread in one place and im not backtracking.. lower foxtrot mikes same as the .9mm but i went .40. lots of stuffed rounds in the bolt delivery.. mags were just short? there is a mag stop on the left side of the mags . I filed that shits down. At this point im dangerous.. with a file! Next was the feed ramp. I can make this pistola work.. just grind and polish..ish , Its 4 mags working by hand now soooo I'll shoot this Saturday and report! I feel good about it?

lunch at a new bbq restaurant. 👍🤪 pretty amazing "choped meat " sandwich. This place is the kind that you shuck your peanut shells on the floor. The 1" cubed meat had the softest bights and crispy edges, I ate that thing without putting it down! Mistakes were made as it's pretty warm here and I had to go back to work to move 2000#'s of concrete and fence posts.... ughh i was sluggish after that! Best damn bbq I've had..

I carried the sig p238 for several years on the job. mostly ankle holster.. it's a tops pistol but heavey after a long day. you need to pratice with a gun you never have to shoot.... carry it for days and draw it for consistency! A 380 is 10 yards max for me and 15 for fun. glock 43 and 34 is its back up.. I've had alot of .380's and now have one with hot loads . To each their own. @magwa says a .45 will never shrink to a smaller .9 mm hole!

It is definitely a fun pistol with a shh on it!.👍 shot mine for ... alot of rounds and now, something is fubared. regular cleaning ( more than rifle) for .22 +shh! but such a fun pistol! I shelved it for a mark 4 ruger.. 🤗 you will also need a barrel thread adapter for the shh.
