Sooooo they get ready to leave and my bud yells up at them pick them up before you leave they get lippy and my bud tells em pick em up or when I walk up there you are going to eat em..,they picked em up and left all the while mutering we were the a holes... go figure... carbine 16 inch barrel will shoot well out to 5 or 600 and will make the gun much lighter which you will appreciate.

Ok you mentioned Hunting, ok you got it that is what i do I am a hunter first, steel stumps tannerite is all second, I bought a DPMS 5 years ago took it out of the box fed it a steady diet of old surplus ammo and oil(mobile one synthetic) and have NEVER had a hickup NONE zero, Nada.... so then with the help of the enabling bastards here on this sight I then started making it my own, I changed the gas block to a A2sight block combo, put a apex Gator grip forend on it changed the stock to a Luth skeloton,and a rock river arms National Match Trigger I like a 2 stage trigger for long range shooting, I shoot Barnes TTSX 168 bullets into one shot holes at 100 years and have killed 4 elk,and 5 deer with it from 40 yards to 346 yards zero issues now my gun weighs 8lbs 8 oz with no ammo in it. I also use a Vortex Diamond back scope 4x14 Mill dot reticle....and I just added a Atlas Bipod but you will get the idea from the photos

270 130 grain spitzer boat tail i have killed over 25 elk with that round and Jack O'Connor killed everything in the US with it , if you want flat you will have to spend more ,much more you will have to get into the Magnum Lowers or a good single shot rifle and shoot something like a 7mm STW, or a 30,338,, or 6mm284,or 6.5x284 with the bullets we have today all those calibers are very capable of 1000 yards and 6 inch or less groups it all depends on how far you want to go but any 1000 yard gun will demand the very best reloading...

yes I have been playing with them and trying different ones the angle is fine I like the grip but it is much thicker due to double stack it will just take me some time but i can carry 2 mags in one..... :)

My 1911 makes me a surgeon when firing a pistol something about it just fits me just pick it up and point it and it is like magic it is pointed right where you want it , it will always be my go to pistol.... now I have the FNX45 tactical and I am liking it but it has a much thicker grip but still a new age pistol will see how I like it a year from now.....

these guns are heavy I hunt with a AR10 that with scope and 5 round mag weighs 8lb 10 oz and I have a 16 inch barrel you do not need any more barrel than that for out to 600...mine is very accurate with many 1 shot kills on elk and deer over 300 yards....

Unless you are ready to spend 5 to 8 thousand just on the rifle , build the creedmore it is a great caliber...

Got it !, so I will just get a JD capture spring it will work in either extension tube simply by adding or taking out 1 spacer,So if I am going to spend the bucks... simple easy done.... thanks everyone....

OK I am totally confused so lets check em off one at a time 1. so the buffer and spring that are in my LR308 will not work correct? because they are carbine right ? 2. I need a 308 specific buffer and spring correct? what does the 308 buffer weigh? I have a bunch of buffers here maybe one will work jj109 that buffer looks just like one I have can you weigh yours for me in grams, or Oz either will be fine...and give me the length of yours as well thanks all

Ok so I have a LR308 it has a carbine stock on it and carbine buffer tube so I get a full length buffer tube and a A2 buffer tube screw (the long one and it all attaches my Luth-AR skuleton stock to the LR308, now I can not use the LR308 buffer spring and buffer but can I use a rifle spring and buffer from a AR15 that is the question....
