  1. Congrats Survival! If I was carrying it daily, I would have gotten the SOCOM. I do like the M14 platform, but in a different way then the AR10.Kind of like good sex with two different partners.
  2. ^^x10
  3. Yeah but then I would whine about how hot it was in July. Face it I’m never happy with the weather. But then again, the women down there actually do wear swim suits, don’t they?
  4. ^^^^Truth Donkey. Welcome to the dark side.
  5. Bah Humbug.
  6. Nice MM. dsdm, hang in there brother and I am sorry for your loss. I didn’t really want anything-so I was happy with some shirts I got. Going to start getting rid of extra stuff I decided, get life uncluttered.
  7. Welcome! Which Armalite? There are a few of us Armalite owners on here.

    Merry Christmas

To all of you in 308AR land, Merry Christmas. Hope Santa filled your stocking with PMags, or in my case Armalite Gen IIs!
  9. It will happen. I am aiming for next fall if there is a get together. Even thinking of getting a small used travel trailer, and that is one of my motivators to get it! Love my 10B’s! And I got all that 7.62 I reloaded to bring this year.
  10. I was 50 when I took up Uechi Ryu. Hit 60 you really slow down. And don’t ask about 70.
  11. Amen on that. I found the best antidote for speed was sneakiness. Or what I called “ speed traps”. Give them an opening and when they take it tie them up and go to infighting techniques.
  12. I have some Hornady 208 gr ELD’s, think I will give them a try next spring. As my press is in the garage and it’s gonna hit -14 on Monday and Tuesday, might be a while. Those ELD’s also make a very accurate 300 Blk round.
  13. If I lived in Houston, I would join your Dojo and have you put me through some rigorous training. Although my Orthopedist thought the Makiwara training I used to do might have led to some of my bone spur issues. Will never know for sure.
  14. I have hit a frigging wall at 39 pounds. After the Holidays I am adding a PT regimen and stopping some back sliding on carbs. Good luck
  15. Heads you are tails she is.
  16. On that Shakira Gif I was gonna be damned if I posted it and damned if I didn't so I had to go with it. I just Googled "Whole canned chicken Gif" and that came up.You're right though, that is weird.

    Grilling

A good way to go Trooper. My foot surgeries kept me out of the woods, and I am still a little skittish about CWD. But not so skittish that I am working on an elk trip out west next year. Reminds me of something I saw up on Superiors North Shore a long time ago. I was staying at a cabin to do some skiing in the dead of winter right on highway 63. My wife and I were walking along the highway when a doe stepped out on the other side of the highway. Around the corner comes a Diesel Semi at high speed and BAM! the deer goes flying 40 feet. The semi doesn't even slow down. The next second an old pickup comes around the corner, slams on it's brakes, a couple of guys hop out, lift the deer into the pickup and take off. Total elapsed time from the deer being hit; no more than 60 seconds. Talk about scoring fresh meat.
  18. Good reads
  19. Finger lickin good!
  20. I should have just sold you my whole HBAR!
  21. Agreed. Need some overwhelming benefit. Maybe for match shooters.
  22. This is $49 for a 5.56 carbine stainless barrel. I have a non chromelined bore on a 5.56 carbine, thinking I might replace with this.
  23. Notice that Primary Arms has an incredible price on a 16’ inch Carbine stanless steel barrel in 5.56. Does anyone have any experience with their barrels?
  24. I know, but I saw that Gif, I figured I had no choice but to share. Sorry all you Shakira fans. (If there are any).
  25. My son had one of those. Gotta admit it was a gas but was indistinguishable from an M-16. 435 feet per second. Would shred a coke can at 50 feet. Used to use it to get deer out of the garden. After a week they learned and didn't come back.
