Old thread but another range day. Decided to shoot up that 1975 Indian Army surplus I had left for 98's lube test. Nice excuse to blow through 180 rounds. Forgot how satisfying a mag dump can be. My AR10's are sighted for 168 and 175 gr reloads, so it took a little bit to dial in with the old Indian surplus. The stuff was amazingly accurate. Someone had stuck a dozen clay pigeons on furring strips stuck in the ground. I was exploding the pigeon on the first bullet, and snapping the stick at the base on the second at 100 yards. The AR10's were flawless. About 20 rounds in, and I could not miss. After I was done I was wishing for another 200 rounds. Just an enjoyable day. Now I have a bunch of brass to load up with Sierra BTHP's, and a renewed appreciation for my AR10 B's love these rifles!

I would believe it. I also am guessing the military is working with psychologists to "condition" them to prevent this. Just makes sense. Scary though.

My goal was 10 20's apiece for two rifles in a SHTF scenario. Plus two 5's for hunting. Go do other stuff now.

4 AR10 B Gen II mags.

I am ordering four on the general principle that once they disappear forever, some of mine will wear out or come up with once-in-a-lifetime defects or malfunctions.

Finding them at any price is getting difficult. Armalite is out of stock and charges $35 when they have them. Thanks Sketch, ordered four.

The Mig 25 was designed to counter the B-70 Valkyrie bomber that was never built. Later on they added look down shoot down radar, a "wizzo" weapons officer, and long range air to air missles copied from the US Phoenix AAM they bought from the Iranians after the Shah's fall, and came up with the Mig 31. It actually is a pretty effective platform with high speed and a good range and electronics (possibly French) but rotten in a dog fight. The SU26-35's are a tough customer. Have directable thrust which gives them outstanding agility. Probably better than the F15 performance wise, but not the F22. The SU 24 has proven to be F-16 fodder. The Russians use it like the US Air Force did the F-111.

Truth better to fight equipment with electronic flaws you know, then ones you don't know. Guessing that is why the US Navy tolerates Russian jet fly bys. Those jets are being interrogated electronically for what they have on board, and how it can be exploited.

Truth, we "B" Armalite guys are few in number, but we have each others back. Unless of course, someone gives me a free matched Mega Upper and Lower, then I may have to rethink things.............

Never liked HOA's, We have an informal one for neighborhood issues and so far it works. When they start overflowing with rules, it is simply a form of local facism or communism, your pick.

Actually my mistake they are being allowed back in since 2015. FDA says they have safeguards in place now to prevent hoof and mouth and mad cow. Uraguay and Brazil were never stopped.

Wonder if we can afford many more in the era of long range command link satellite guided anti ship missles. And steerable nuclear delivery vehicles like China is testing. Going to have to start thinking of arming them with long range stealth drones to keep them out of harms way. If a $5 million anti ship missle or nuclear warhead can take out a $13 billion aircraft carrier, we need to rethink our strategy of how to use them.

Survived on that stuff in college. Back then in the Jurassic it was 5 cans for $1. Probably better I didn't know much back then. Actually not much beef comes up from Argentina anymore. Most of it goes to Europe. Same with Uraguay.
