We have the same problem at our free shooting range. People bring old TVs old glass shower doors, and just about everything else out, shoot it up and leave it. We now have survellience cams which are catching quite a few, but we still need a clean up crew for two hours once a week to pick the crap up. Not to mention the macho center of uranus who emptied an AK magazine into the metal roofs of the shooting stations. When we were building them I caught guys trying to grab brand new treated wood 4x4 posts from the construction materials to set up and shoot at. We had a wheeled target holder and some asshat had to shoot the wheels out! Give em hell 98! I pack whenever I am cleaning up there now, because we are getting sleazier and scumier types hauling crap up there and shooting it up. And I live in an empty part of the country. Less and less respect in this world for what we have and are blessed with. It royally pisses me off.

To throw some fuel on the fire, the thread link below was started by mrraley, Shooter13. If you haven't read it I suggest you do. He worked as an Armorer for Armalite, and taught Armorer courses to gunsmiths on Armalite systems. You may find of interest his feelings on DI versus pistons. Key on debate to go to the thread.

Buy the 2k XM80, have a blast shooting it, get a RCBS Rock Chucker and maybe a Dillon progressive, and you won't have to buy 308 ammo for a long time and will have better accuracy.

98Z recommends Primary Arms highly, and I picked up a red dot there a few years ago. They have a 1x6 variable with lighted recticle and a BDC grid for 308/5.56 that I am planning on down the line. Got to pay off a few things first. Currently have a cheaper 1x6 I got a deal on and I like the magnification levels. My current one is a first focal plane and the Primary is a second focal plane, which makes it a bit more usable at low power. Glad your OK MM, the pistol competition sounds fun. Had one tornado go over me 20 years ago. Hope it never happens again.

I switched out and use permanent gold filters. Makes a big difference. I like all methods. I don't compare them. I figure it's just like making a different recipe with the same ingredient. Anyway, after the first gallon I don't taste much difference between the methods. ( and I wonder why I have trouble sleeping).

I have Armalite, and that's it. Good rifles, but my newest is 4 years old. I just don't know about their quality right now.

Early on when I joined this forum, I made the mistake of buying what was advertised as generic AR10 B magazines from CTD and talking about it on the forum. #1- The magazines they sent were M14 mags and would not work except with extensive modification, if at all. And #2- I couldn't sit down for a week after the verbal ass chewing I got from forum members about CTD. I take my business elsewhere now.

I was 10 years old before my pastor noticed that I was singing "What a friend we have in Cheeses" instead of what I was supposed to be singing. Between that and an inability to sing in tune, my services were no longer needed in the student choir.

Now that you mention it, I do remember why.

I have some things rather large that would get in the way. But I would be able to scratch the back of my head.
