Walleyes biting down near Ashland in the Bay. Reason for one Lake Trout rule is a culmative 4 million feet of tribal gill nets in WI-2 each of the last five years.took out the spawning size fish. WDNR and tribes missed badly on setting quotas three times as high as they should have been. Now we are paying the price.

Watch those primers. And check the cases. That will be a helluva load.
  3. Nice fish, especially that brown.
  4. You got it. Thank goodness for the companies who refuse to do business that way. Some of whom are supporters and /or members of this website.
  5. Won't happen until companies stop putting "shareholder value" above everything else. The old business model of good, valued employees, management focused on stability, and decent shareholder value led to good products, satisfied investors, and a stable workforce. Now investor greed rules everything. Products, and employees suffer.
  6. Go get em Mike. Here's a picture of a great lakes little brother I got yesterday. 30 inches 12 pounds. Not like those sea run monsters you get.
  7. BigP I think you are right. They are pawns and then too late realize they are in over their head. It is sad. I hope they learn a lesson. And I do regret their loss of their daughter.

98, I would like to hear how that works out. Still have a five pound jug of Reloader 15, so it will be a while before I try anything else.

Good eye Sketch. I am a lefty. Just put the BUIS on backwards. Still work fine.I have my AR10 rifle set up for my son who is right handed. Will post pics tomorrow. Thanks for the log house comment. Yeah had it for 25 years.
  10. Took this out yesterday on some deserted highways. Nothing like some 70 mph curves to get the blood flowing.
  11. Now instead of science fiction, its coming to a battlefield near you.

Nice Shepp! Cohos and Browns are hitting on the big lake up north. Weather has been nice as well. Some Chinooks, but not by me so far. With that one Lake Trout emergency rule. This year, summer fishing is gonna be tough.
  13. When you figure out how to buy from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, let me know, they have all sorts of interesting (and classified) stuff!
  14. Can't remember if I ever posted a picture of my carbine. They have discontinued the AR10T carbine now, which I consider a mistake. 16" Stainless target barrel, free float handguard. 1 in 10 " twist. 45 degree offset BUIS. Burris E1 fullfield 3x9 scope. Rifle is probably more accurate than I am. Have to get to the range to do my final zero on the new reloads, which is now all I feed it. 41 grains RE15 behind 175 gr SMK BTHP.
  15. Just proves a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Incomplete, and inaccurate.
  16. That is what I wanted. Vests and cumberbunds get too hot for me to use when the temp goes above 75 F. So I stiched D rings to my favorite molle belt and added a set of molle shoulder straps to distribute weight. Works great when I have to pack in to find a shooting spot, and I can carry a suprising amount.
  17. Nothing good is gonna come out of this. I feel like it's 1968 revisited.
  18. Then Jim gives her the bird. Good one.
  19. Can't go wrong with any AR10T. With that long barrel you add a bit extra distance before the rounds go subsonic. Bet she shoots nice at 700 yards.
  20. A new Dyna Flo 5 rack offset smoker. And I am really trying hard to ignore wetncold's post so I behave myself.
  21. Robert Heinlein, "Starship Troopers" 1950's Science Fiction.
  22. I am trying to figure out if they use infrared technology or a millimeter wave sensor. I am guessing a wave sensor as that technology has been researched quite throughly to develop smart antiarmor munitions that upon explosion, forge their own armor penetrating fragments and point them at individual targets in the area of detonation.
  23. You can run but you can't hide. http://www.sciencealert.com/watch-us-scientists-have-developed-long-distance-homing-bullets
  24. The Military Times has been discussing the changing nature of warfare in different environments, and the changing face of the enemy, as in not necessairily a national army. Sounds like they are changing their training to reflect this.
