Pharmaceutical companies have been looking for this type of thing for years. Aminocaproic Acid (Amicar) used to do it but fell out of favor for some reason. But it didn't work this fast, wow! Using Algae as a basis is incredibly resourceful and brilliant. The kid is gonna do ok with this one.
  2. For first time not bad at all. After you get a chance to experiment with different ammo to find out what it likes( nice build by the way) along with the above shooting tips, you will be cutting those groups a lot and getting more consistent shot placement. Look forward to your reports.
  3. Man' best friend
  4. Will PM you in the near future. Thanks.
  5. You guys are class, even if you are a bit crazy. In this day and age that's a good thing.
  6. Glad your feeling better too Mag. Glad you got your freezer full. I gotta wait till our fall run to do that.
  7. Prayers for the victims and their families. It's a tragedy. Reports are he was a real head case.
  8. Couldn't agree more. My AR10T has the Armalite National Match and it is going to stay there. Just got a GS2 though for my AR10 standard.
  9. Sign of the times. That's why I CC only. I just don't need the hassle anymore. Plus, if I need it, I don't want the other guy to know I have it until I need it.
  10. Can't blame him. I kick myself now, I was going to order two of the AR10 spare parts kits Pat put together a couple of years ago before I went in for surgery. I didn't and now I'm hosed.
  11. Thanks for the thoughts guys. Back home from the hospital minus the gall bladder. Had a good surgeon, he saved my wifes life 10 years ago when her appendix burst and she went into shock. Symptoms are slowly going away, now I gotta get back to doing some serious range work. Nice to get back on the forum. Nice thing living in a small town, I know and trust the guy with my life in his hands. He moved things around to do the surgery the day after I came in, then took off for Canada fishing. Hope he limits out.
  12. Shoot it before you decide you want a new barrel. Armalite barrels are pretty damn good.
  13. two ultrasounds and a barium contrast showed gall stones, but no inflammation. That is why they are doing an endoscopy just to make sure it isnt a stomach tumor. Hope its gallstones.
  14. Yeah I do that sometimes though that triggers it as well. What really sucks is any heavy exercise can trigger it as well. I have had to hang up exercising until this gets cleared up. Wierd thing is ten minutes after an attack, I feel normal. As a matter of fact I hit the rifle range with the AR10T today. Groups were nothing to write about, and I need some trigger pull practice, but it felt good to be shooting again.
  15. Mag glad your feeling better. Find out next week what is going on with me. Every morning when I get up I am getting 15-20 minutes of crushing chest pain. Went to the ER via ambulance 2 weeks ago thinking heart attack. Turns out my heart is fine. Looks to be either gallstones trying to pass out the duct, or a possible issue in my esophagus/stomach. Prefer the former but won't know till they put a scope down my stomach next week. Getting old sucks but beats the alternative. Till then the first hour of the day is hell.
  16. Nice! Would be in the market, but I got a couple of Yankee Machine works adapters that took care of the same problem.
  17. Excellent choice" I have been using them since before they were called Game Kings. They have taken every big game I have shot since 1977. That only includes deer, bear, and elk, but they are accurate as hell, have really reliable expansion, and feed very well. Back then they had about the best ballistic coefficient of any hunting round, in 30 cal. I don't know if that is still true, as I loaded up 600 rounds back then for my two 30-06' bolt actions, and still have 130 or so left. Only round my stainless Savage has ever shot.
  18. Holy crap Mag! Gone for a week and come back and read this. Good about the Chinooks, sorry to hear about the kidney stone stuff. Hang in there.
  19. A fellow used to work for me, Ex Marine, was in the Da Nang area, ended up at the brouhaha at Khe Sanh, just had his third bout of Chemotherapy for a form of leukemia. Said when the C123's came over spraying he could feel the mist on his face. Hang in there Wet, you still have things to enjoy outta this life.
  20. I can only dream.. Maybe next year. Pillage em, Mag.
  21. Good advice. It is easier to learn to lean into corners on a 250, and that way you don't have to buy the 250, the school does. I went straight to a 900 cc from that and had no problem. Check around for your first purchase, thogh, and ask advice. You don't necessairily want to start out with a rip roaring handful until you have mastered the basics. And yes, everyone and thing is out to kill you.
  22. Shepp, with all due respect, I think I have stuff in my refrigerator that might be older than you. I will be happy to trade ages with you.

    Season opener

I doubt if it comes back in my lifetime. As they are continuing to overharvest.
  24. That is why Alaskan Brown Bears in general, and Kodiak Island bears in particular are so much bigger than Montana and interior Canada Grizzlies. Lots of Salmon and dead whales. Friend nailed a 900 pounder with a 45-70 in the Aleutians 3 years ago. Was a close call. His brother had a 338 they put 9 bullets into it and it still ran 100 yards.
