Good question. Liberty safes keep showing up as highly rated. Mesa’s are highly rated but pricey. I just ordered a Liberty safe from Tractor Supply, but refused delivery because of extensive damage it came with. To their credit, Tractor Supply immediately refunded my money.

On those, if someone tries to drill out the key hole, the combination immediately free spools. Makes it tough for a burgler to get in as they can’t “crack” the combination.

Old DPMS mags did not have a great reputation if I remember correctly.

Rams cured their transmission woes, but jury is still out on body rot. My 2005 Ram had 147,000 miles on it but rotted out rear wheel wells when I sold it in 2016. The biggest culprit was the welding method they were using on the wheel wells was letting moisture squeeze in under the paint and rot them out. Supposedly they fixed that. My 2015 is showing no signs of rust. You are better off with a 3/4 ton or 1ton, and for the price difference and resale I would go with the 1 ton. I don’t have any brand loyalty and go with the best deal for what I want to spend. I have had a GMC 15, a Ford F150, and two Ram 1500’s. All good trucks, all with different weaknesses.

Agree with Edge. Anytime you vary from standard you add more variables to the situation. From the sounds of it you can change the recoil system or the barrel. It sounds like both manufacturers have seen issues before in using the two together.

The other thing is that the LGS owners are often really skilled shooters themselves. When it comes to advice and tips you just don’t get that from the big box stores.

I just leave it at the gearing with the most resistance to work the legs. I used to have a rower, I will check that Concept 2 out.

One of those surgeries last year fused the joints in my big toe, as all the cartilege had been shredded by bone spurs, so I couldn’t run anymore if I had to. Ditto for my left ankle a month later. the good news is I can still walk and bike.
