There is nothing wrong with the big bore hand cannons I have a 6in smith 629 in 44 mag love the gun but I bet I can at least get 3 to 1 off on my 10 compared to the 44. Running the 10 near 41mag ballistics I think its a pretty good balance between power and controlability There are set more superior hand cannons out there but I like the balance the 10 gives me.

With full loads it has a pretty good kick. in my 29 adding the steel rod and 21lbs spring took recoil way down. I would invest in a set for sure

Looking good! I just weighed my SI build its came across the scale at 14.5 with no mag in it.

The heavy bullets will get ya to 800 easily and will buck the wind better. if ya plan on hitting at a grand we run the 155s. Its hard to keep the heavier bullets supersonic when ya get that far. At the 100-200 I would shoot 175 IMO

How far you plan on shooting? That twist will run up to 180grains. Lot of the guys I've been shooting with been running the laupua 155 scenars with 46 grains of Varget. With that twist. Should been in high 2800 out of a gas gun out of there bolt guns they are running low 2900. That keeps the bullet supersonic to a grand. I would work up to that 46 if you are reloading.

I just been running the G29sf with the rod and 21lbs recoil spring ghost 3.5 connector. I bought this gun for bear country. Where my cabin is located has the highest concentration of grizzly bears in the lower 48. Not to mention the lions and wolves. They are in the front yard of cabin often. Im a firm believer in bear spray first and if that dont work start throwing lead. Cant beat the 10mm get some Underwood ammo and carry on

Been playing with a new flock 29sf I picked up a month ago. I love it. the 20sf is next the list I have replaced the guide rod with a wolf steel 21lbs springs wolf 3.5lbs connector wolf firing pin spring and a Zev tech firing pin saftey. Love this gun running Underwood 155 to stated at 1500 fps the 21lbs spring really managed recoil on this pocket rocket

Ya at the ranch we first had so many ducks coming in to the barley fields that we used the propane pop guns they still ate most if it. Then when the white tail deer got out of hand we used them again in the haystacks. They are set on a timer and if you dont know they are there will scare the shot right out of ya.

If it makes you feel better to do the break in process then do it. As 98 said hand lapped that barrel I bet is as smooth as glass. Lija makes fine barrels. If it was me I would take it out shoot it 50 times.Then give it one good cleaning. Then dont clean it again till you start seeing accuracy issues just my 2cents.
