  1. ah yeah, one of the "no fun allowed" states. I'm itching to put a suppressor on that one, would make for even more fun factor. but its nice to have 30 round magazines that you can dump in a few seconds and stay accurate with given the non-existent recoil anyhow.
  2. this is my favorite 22 mine's a blued barrel. just a 10/22 ...
  3. damn, that has to be good. Beyond all the songs from Korn I really like, the one thing that is perpetually ingrained into my head and I think of every time I hear "Korn" is the episode they did on south park. http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s03e12-korns-groovy-pirate-ghost-mystery
  4. threadjack... I got on a list for blemished CAV15s for $110 since they take the grease gun mags :) can you point me to where I can find a .45acp bolt and/or full carrier + barrel?
  5. Yeah, problem is I am cash broke right now, so why i'm looking to trade rather than buy
  6. I guess I was thinking it should from the directions for the headspace gauges.

    Finally!

yeah, thats why i'm saving bothering with a supressor till I build a 300 AAC or .45acp AR. way more fun to go totally silent :) puff puff puff
  8. it shot fine, a little bit of extractor mark scratches on the base of the shells but nothing too heavy. the fireclean lube they mention there with it does work really well too. Only negative thing I had was that I couldn't (and 100 rounds later still can't) slowly walk the bolt back to lock forwards. For it to lock forwards, I've got to hit the bolt release and let it slam forwards. Not a problem or big deal really and I'm assuming its just that its all tight tolerances on it being new. No scratches or scrapes on the BCG itself after firing. Going to take it out this weekend and probably put another 100-200 rounds through it
  9. then they just need to discount it some, and i'll buy one :D

308flag.pdf here's a pdf of it converted to vector. the color banding is a bit rough. by clipping down on contrast I can do better I imagine

I can easily convert raster to vector, have software for that. the fades and blends can be rough, but maybe not
  12. have any of you seen this one? http://www.gunsmokeenterprises.net/product.sc;jsessionid=55A572D72F6537655C1E797D8FB95452.qscstrfrnt06?productId=5&categoryId=1 it looks pretty sweet on

i'd be in for 2 of either
  14. I am still torn on SBR or pistol for my 300 AAC build
  15. well, maybe i'm lucky I didn't get in on that one then :D no rush for me anyhow on this
  16. I had considered some of the ceramic engine paints, figuring that would have good life, but haven't tried them
  17. its funny, I hadn't joined up at weapons guild in time to catch it, but they had someone selling blemished 300 AAC barrels for $90 each. 16" ones, but I think those would cleanly cut down to 12 without it being a big deal
  18. me too (on the FDE). mine was the non-baking style spray. The clear topcoat won't enhance durability, but will remove any shinyness you get if you use a matte clear
  19. Its on the rifle now, has around 100 rounds through it. just with playing with it, I realized I probably should have been smart and just gotten a 16 from the get go. So if anyone has been thinking about a longer barrel....
  20. welcome! ok, you have to define "drives tacks at long range" because any decently built 308 should be pretty close to that. if long range to you is 600 yards, you are definitely in luck just about no matter what you do :) And price tag wise, that is always relative but figure the $1500-2500 range without optics is average
  21. Our most effective votes are with our dollars
  22. I've always thought that any of the VTOLs would be the most awesome thing to fly
  23. I lean towards the belief that if its not a sub 1/2 moa bolt action, that odds are the breakin won't have a huge difference. Then again, I suck at anything over 100 yards anyhow.
  24. odds are it would raise some eyebrows
  25. Cool. That's got to be sweet having the space in your own yard to shoot
