  1. that was their whole idea and inspiration
  2. but damn thats hot. I'd do that one a a plain M4/A2 for sure. It doesn't need any bells + whistles as far as stock or handguard, the lower is all the bells + whistles I want.
  3. welcome and thanks for your service!
  4. Anyone used any of the shadow ops ones?
  5. I really want to get a hell breaker lower, but can't justify the $$
  6. Allen, but I can't recall the size and I'm not at the house to check
  7. Lucky devil
  8. hmm I'm not sure on the URL. I'm pondering a handguard like that for a short barreled 300 AAC i'm going to build (maybe a pistol instead) and going to either cut custom designed vent holes in it, or have it laser etched with what I want. You are going to love shooting it, a 308 AR is way more satisfying feel wise than a 223 :)
  9. So i'll be reloading for the 308 AR of course with them :) I picked up 2 sizing dies and 3 seating dies off ebay as a lot cheap ($20+ shipping). but they were an estate sale deal, so they had no idea of brands or anything. One set of 1 sizing and 1 seater are marked with FCHO as the marking beyond .308 win the other set of 2 is marked micro-precision and the last seating die I didn't pay much attention to :) so which of the 2 sets should I keep? Any idea who the manufacturer is on either? I'm hunting around right now on the web, but not having much luck
  10. those bastards need to do a P-308 so its in my price range :)
  11. I was really impressed by mine. what lube are you using on it for when you go to break it all in?
  12. well, I scored a lightly used MS3 in coyote/fde for $20+ shipping, and it does look pretty sweet. need to hook it onto the rifle still, but thats after replacing the buffer end plate (which I also have, a black widow with QD hole)
  13. He's wrong about it because it only takes a few things for "us" to win. For starters, the size of the non-military forces in the US is miniscule compared to gun owners. Second, our national belief of our government encroaching too much on our freedoms is the highest its been from polling data. Last, even in the case of them being ordered to fire on US citizens, how many in DHS, etc will actually do it? Last, it will only take one horrible butchering incident of 150 BATF agents dumping full auto fire into a home and killing innocents as well as likely some neighbors for public opinion to hugely switch against them. Sure they managed to cover Waco up with "drugs, sex, children" but it won't be so easy the next time to get that out, and not have independent outlets showing the horror of the pictures.
  14. I ended up having to click the link before I realized it was a bottle opener. At first I was thinking "I've got one pretty much like that" :D but no.
  15. The atf allows you to manufacture your own guns, why shouldn't you be able to use a 3d printer if you could use a drill press and mill?
  16. Ah ok, just the way you worded it sounded like you replaced the original with the sopmod. Thats a pretty nice factory setup.
  17. Ok, just wondering, how its a stock MK12, and has a replaced tube + stock? Is the buffer spring + buffer the ones that came with the rifle or came with the SOPMOD?
  18. PRI makes some fantastic ones (the Delta is my favorite) but the prices are also fairly fantastic as in big.
  19. Shadow ops are some good people. They're who I got my 308 lower from
  20. Yeah, that really sucks. Enjoy while you can I guess
  21. had :( ended up selling it. Was a standard muncie M20, with a 4.11 rear which I had also never seen in a corvette before, the 3.83 was usually about the highest numeric in them. Engine was turning almost 3900 rpm at 70, and with open sidepipes it was loud as crap then. Never got the car over 110 or so. The engine was around 360hp 380ftlb torque, and all manual with no added options so around 2800 lbs. It would hit that 70mph pretty darn fast :D
  22. well, in 300 I'd think you'd want to be sticking to the lighter end of bullets, which isn't all bad, but I dunno then about running it subsonic + suppressed.
  23. my 70 charger with a 383, 4 speed pistol grip + posi rear got around 8mpg. The only car i've ever had get worse was my 68 corvette, 7 in the city, 7.5 highway :D high torque 350 in that, with 4.11 posi rear (really rare to find a posi at all in a corvette rear given the independent suspension). Of course the charger I owned back around $1 a gallon gas, and the corvette around $2 a gallon...
  24. what kills me about him is that he was rehired by a different department after being fired for cause by one. I mean seriously.
