Tom's steel target with 223 spots on it ! He tapped gently before we torn it up !

Had a good relaxing outing today with Tom. Got the JG#24 308 scope sighted in, was 8" high and 7"to the left with a cheap Simmons scope I picked up for less than a $100. The 24" 6.8spc now cycles now after redrilling the gas port hole for the third time. Still need to get an H2 buffer for it. Broke the new upper on Vera, the gas tube broke at the gas block pin hole. Easy fix but it took awhile to find the problem. Also broke a prototype charging handle for the ar308, Beta testing is so fun ! Redesigned already started.

I got a question from one of our member and could not answer it. Q1 He wanted to know is a raw alumininum needed to be anodized before it could be coated ? Q2 .I sandblasted a upper reciever and handguard today at 75 to 80 PSI, It turned outdark grey to frosted black. The surface coating is hard, do I need to take it all off to get a good finish or is a light scuff good enough ?

Going to try this again on Sunday. I have a Prototype Side Charging handle that I will be bringing and some posters to shoot at !

I put another upper on her and will test it this week then it will get coated pink. I still need to sand blast a upper receiver.

I sand blast so many guns it is just NOT funny anymore. But I do such good work ! There is a store Mesa that sells kits , they have 30 plus colors in stock.

Its the little things that make a big difference. Attention to detail. I try to load mags with the same brass after a reloading session.

I would get a CMMG 22lr adaptable BCG and a 1-14" or 1-16" twist barrel for a dedicated upper or get a 10-22 gun. JMO

D.A. custom barrel , that's why its not done yet. Waiting for a couple of 40s&w barrels also. Customers guns have a higher priority.

Just change the trigger group and put a brake on it then reassest your gun ! Most of that list is nice but not needed right away. Piece meal your accessaries, handguard , buffer then the rest of your list. You might not want them. JMHO.
