Got a pound of this to try I the 300wsm. Made a small batch with Hornady 168gr bthp match projos. The load is about 95% power. I plan on testing them after the first of the year. Anyone tried this powder ? It is a fairly slow burning with a high velocity projo.

Is the gas tube bottoming out in the carrier key ?

With the barrel instaled on the upper, insert the gas tube attached to the gas block into the upper receiver and rotate it so. The bottom is facing up . There is a round machined opening in the grove that the charging handle slides in. The end of the gas tube should be centered there. Take a picture of this and post it. We will get back to you.

really going to bust your bubble but the steel comes from China in very large reels or bundles and it is processed here by wholesalers who sell it to american manufactors to be " Made in the USA".

440c is easy to work with, sharpen. Cut ,drill .

Pics show heavy barrel with marks on it . My barrels have , NO marks on them just 1/4" off because thickness of 308 delta ring kit. Don't panic !

So don't buy the bench.... just buy die sets for christmas and a press next year.

Welcome from AZ ! My GF is from Rockford and my stepdad was born in your neck of the woods. I am familar with Sun Devil lowers. Buy a bolt catch like the Armalite Ar10 or the DPMS lr308 version with is larger than the standard ar15 bolt catch. Also go to a hardware store to find a threaded bolt/screw to fit you hole in the receiver. Drilling and tapping in that area is a super PITA , would NOT recemend doing that at all , way to easy to F@$k up. Order the part and wait if you have to.

How about a really high quality belt ! You know I was thinking of the Batman type tactical belt at first. LOL !

Just bought a set of 300 aac blackout dies, the bleeding of money doesn't stop at just the press and reloading supplies. Dies , case trimming parts and tumbler or sonic cleaner. Your going to have to make 10k rounds just to break even.

Thanks again Rene ! Smalls targets are great to print but the large ones which I get done at Office Depot cost over a dollar a piece to copy.
