  1. Not sure he'd want to be a legal test case on that though...
  2. Aren't all their models all single stage?
  3. If that's the case go with a 16" barrel. It'll do 800m and be light enough to carry around just fine. How closely are you looking to replicate an SR-25, or did you mean SR-25 as a general .308AR term?
  4. The Aero Precision M5 upper is LR-308 high profile so the low profile rail won't align with the M5 upper well. If you're talking about buying a separate LR-308 low-profile upper and putting it on your current M5 lower, then it'll be just fine since the only difference is the height of the top rail above the charging handle.
  5. It took you 33min to upload a new photo? Wow your internet must be slow! ;)
  6. Welcome! This is the hydraulic buffer you'd want to use with the A1/A2 receiver extension in a fixed stock on an LR-308. I wouldn't recommend a hydraulic buffer though as there are more conventional ways to reduce recoil. Using a standard .308 AR rifle buffer (5.4oz) and spring work pretty well in the rifle receiver extensions or there's always Heavybuffers.com.
  7. If you've already checked the cam pin track and the cam pin isn't getting held up in there due to poor machining, then just break it in with some rounds like 98 said. Lube it up well when you break it in too.
  8. Welcome! There's a good amount of us from CA on here. Who ratted us out on Calguns? lol jk.
  9. Doooooo it! Got my AR-10 model in yesterday too. It weighs 2.7oz, a bit heavier than I expected (milspec is 2.5oz and my G2S is 2.3oz).
  10. Yup and they're awesome! Ice stays ice for weeks! I'm looking for a sale on their new luggage line. I'm tired of airports always asking me if I'm transporting firearms in my current Peli-case, and then following up with a suspicious, "Are you SURE?" when I say it's nothing but clothes and candy.
  11. If I end up swapping my Sig Brace for an SBX brace I'll let you know lol.
  12. Gives you time to save up for the QD version!
  13. I ordered one yesterday :).
  14. Are you going to replace it with the XDS-2C Ed? When I need less elevation on the bipod I flip the legs to the 45deg position.
  15. Got a link? Also check other forums (light LF and M4C), there's usually good deals on second hand armor there. If you know a doctor or other person with access to an x-ray machine they might be able to help. Sure they can crack, but they're not THAT fragile. Don't forget that the plates had to stand up to the abuse of all our soldiers running around Iraq and Afghanistan.
  16. You can usually find the .308 PRS for about ~$175. Egoz Tactical has some.
  17. As long as the gas port isn't obnoxiously large and overgassed like the 24" Blackthorne (shudders) barrel my friend's cousin got, the opening of the gas block should be plenty large. The gas port on that awful barrel was 3/16"!!! I suspect they drilled it out larger because their untrained monkeys don't know how to align a gas block properly...
  18. Uh oh Ed, you didn't follow "The OTHER Rule"... ;)
  19. Here's another good option for anyone looking for pouches. On closeout too ($20, and UCP is only $10)!
  20. Welcome from NorCal! Toys are fun! And you'll soon find out how not fun it is to find out somebody is always trying to take your toys away!
  21. Unless you're going to be putting them on an armor/plate carrier and dragging it along the ground every day, go with the fight light.
  22. You could always try just a lighter trigger spring and keep the fill power hammer spring. I did that with my LMT 2-stage trigger.
  23. I'm not sure you'd have enough dwell time. Maybe if you had a muzzle device that boosted back pressure a bit.
  24. Welcome from NorCal!
