  1. Too late... they're all gone. All 15,000 lbs of it.
  2. They spontaneously combust/explode here in the summer heat. *POOF*
  3. Starting to put together our cerakote setup at the shop. What oven are you using, Tom? Something off craigslist?
  4. ....and grease some politicians along the way too.
  5. Who? What? Busy working on these babies...
  6. .....I gotta show this to the wife. She continually gives me crap about working on shît indoors ever since I rebuilt my transmission (race transmission for a Honda Civic) on the coffee table 14 years ago.
  7. Looks like an old faded multicam uniform. Perhaps this is their way of recycling the old/unused stuff. <lmao> <laughs>
  8. Hmm... is oiling his brake discs too much? >:D
  9. Heh.. thanks. I just trolled my daughter on facebook with it. :D
  10. Dammit wash... you got me good!
  11. Probably because there's a tree in front of my shop and therefore it's one of the few shaded spots. I've only got 3 spots directly in front of the shop and the other douche (next door) takes one of them leaving 2. Now this new douche suddenly decides to park in "my spot" since Monday so I have to squeeze between the two spots. The end unit houses a telecom/networking equipment supplier/installer. They have a bunch of F150's but they also have the most parking since they have spots around the side of their unit and it's never fully parked over there. I was considering urine in those vents. Cat pee is especially nasty, but I got no cats. The next option I was considering is the aluminum shavings and chips that I have... Came in at 6:45 this morning and took the spot back. Great to live only 5 mins away. LOL
  12. Welcome from the phoenix area!
  13. Never heard of that happening.... never did notice the mushyness. Then again I am used to tropical fishing. Back in college in Singapore, the beach is within walking distance from my dorm and as starving/broke college kids, we'd go catch crabs, and fish pretty often. LOL
  14. I like the "nobody bothering you" bit.
  15. not about the snugness... the front "face" of the upper (where the threads are) may not be 100% square (perpendicular) to the bore on the receiver so it all seems to fit in nice and when you torque the barrel nut in, the barrel pulls ever so slightly to one side. Just throwing out ideas of what could be wrong. Seems like it's something to do with the rapid feeding with the BCG slamming the round home causing it to bend, and not chamber right. Probably an issue with tolerance stacking especially with a first-run batch. BTW this is what an AR15 lapping tool looks like. Haven't found one for a 308 AR so I'll probably have to make a couple when we start offering our 308 uppers.
  16. Look at that dope! LOL Thursday... um gotta see how it pans out tomorrow. Trying to get the prototype M4 lowers machined this week so I can come out and play. :D
  17. I'm now wondering if the barrel isn't lined up with the bore of the upper receiver correctly.... you could try lapping the threaded end of the upper to line it up.....
  18. Yes that's the part that makes or breaks it.
  19. I need a plan to get the guy who parks directly in front of my shop where I usually park. This douchebag works at the very first unit (6 doors away).....hmmm
  20. Not for a 300 AAC. The design intent of the 300 AAC was to run subs and/or suppressed with no gas system mods so you can go back and forth without futzing with anything.
  21. BAZINGA!! <lmao> <laughs> He got you good, Tom.
  22. He DID post in the 300 AAC subsection of the forum, so I guess it would be 300 AAC
  23. Unless it's a Shibigun. 8.5" barrel runs like clockwork even when firing unsuppressed subs. :D I should probably bring it to Mike's the next time you guys decide to waste ammo.
