  1. where? Bumblef*ck, Maricopa?
  2. Yes, that's my 7yo's job! <laughs> only reason I bought the cheapie single stage was to pull bullets from a large batch of incorrectly loaded 300 AAC's that I made. P.S. Too hot to shoot right now IMO....gonna die of dehydration.
  3. .....you know what? This will end in escalation. The next time those wannabe thugs will come back armed, you know for a fact that they've been staking out this place already.
  4. Make some bikes. :D Or... sandwich a small strip of stainless in the edge of the layup, then when it cures, sharpen the edge for a nice carbon blade.
  5. Looks yummy! Fry them up or steam them with a light soy sauce and ginger seasoning. mmmmmmm
  6. 308 AR or 300 AAC AR? Simple answer is 16" with pistol gas system for a 300 AAC (hard to find the right barrel) but it functions perfectly fine with a carbine gas system. 14.5" if you're OCD and pin on a proper length flash hider to make it 16". 1:7 to 1:8 twist is what you're going to find out there in 300 AAC. Any less than that and you have to make it a pistol, or get the right forms for an SBR. Any longer than that and it won't work well. P.S. Welcome to the forum!
  7. I just told my wife earlier today that I want a dirt/trail bike so that I can re-live my military recon days. LOL
  8. Somehow I'm disappointed it's not linked to some contraband or other....
  9. No, for some reason I was battling the exit pupil on the M-308. Couldn't quite get situated right on it and kept getting that black circle effect no matter how much I adjusted the position of the scope. Took it back to cabelas and applied the difference to get the 6-24x50 PST
  10. My thoughts...... I'm looking at the pics and I think the rounds are being dented or ever so slightly bent while being fed from the ramps. This is likely because the mags are sitting too low (tolerance stacking perhaps) and the rounds are going in at an extreme angle as they feed in/up the ramps. With the bolt slamming at the rear of the cartridge at speed, I'm not surprised that this is happening. I assume they chamber in nicely if you ride the charging handle all the way home, right? How about using an empty mag, and load one round in from the ejection port, and ride it home...... The "bent" cartridges are getting jammed into the chamber causing marks consistent with what you're getting. ....so I went to measure my CMMG lower at the front "cut" edge since it's a clearly defined line.... (8.47mm = .333") ...and took some feeding pics so you have something to compare against.... OK... off to clean my dirty rifle. :D
  11. poppies?
  12. Good job! I returned my M-308 and got the Vortex wayyy back. Can't be beat for the value/price.
  13. Nice!!
  14. I've used it to 300. MRAD of course. Eye relief is generous. The newer EBR-2C (MRAD) reticle is busier but if that's good for you then go with it. Otherwise the EBR-1 reticle is really nice (but I'd trade up to the new 2C if I got the opportunity).
  15. Got that same vortex (FFP) on on my 308. Love it. :D
  16. cut & pasta worky. clik rink no worky. Maybe my kung fu is weak today.
  17. cannabis? <laughs>
  18. Would I lie to you? ::)
  19. Bored last nigh so went to prep some brass.
  20. Didn't think any of you guys would be interested in the old once-fired brass......
  21. Scuff is enough. Then, clean, clean, clean, before you apply anything.
  22. You want a complete set? CMMG is running a dealer special right now on complete MK3 upper/lower sets.
