  1. Great post. Many thanks.
  2. Nice catch. Good luck with the stone.
  3. Great job on the build! Listen to the advice above and when your done at the range, you'll walk out with biggest sheet eating grin you've ever had. <thumbsup>

Nice catch! Those should be good eating.
  5. You don't have to out run it, just your guide or fellow hunters. My vote would be Alaska. You could couple it with a sheep or moose hunt. :))
  6. Primary Arms has a decent sale going. 15% off triggers. Aero Precision Gen 1 stripped lower for $59.99 and more. https://www.primaryarms.com/Sale_s/5169.htm?utm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_content=BANNER_1&utm_campaign=15-05-Ad3_Mothers_Day_Sale
  7. I have their 308 vice block set. Worked find on my build.
  8. Albany is down south, I am west of Seymour. Similar country though.
  9. Lease is just West of Seymour, Texas. Saturday must have been perfect weather for snakes. I talked to a couple of other people and between the three of us we killed 5 snakes. That one measured 3' long and about 3" in diameter. Thankfully he was nice enough to rattle so I could freak out  and jump back before he coiled to strike . Then I let him have it :auto: . Good thing I had made a trip to the latreen earlier or I would have had to change my shorts.
  10. Went out to the lease last weekend and this is what I bagged. Got to try out the 300BLK and suppressor for the first time.
  11. Great pics. Enjoy every minute you can with them. Looks like a natural born hunter.
  12. The problem with the whole thing is that nobody knows what happened during the arrest or while he was in the van. I saw the video of the LEO picking the guy up and dragging him to the van. It sure looks like he's hurt. My feeling is that none of the LEO took a serious look at his condition. By the time they did, it was too late. Being a LEO is one of the toughest jobs in the world and I have the greatest respect for someone who wants to do that job. I sure couldn't do it.
  13. I've seen commercial sub-sonic rounds. I can't remember the brand. I saw them a B&S Guns in Garland. You could give them a call and they can tell you the brand and if they still have any.
  14. Best of luck Wash. I just made my annual trip to the Dermatologist. She froze about a dozen places but nothing like what you had to go through.
  15. Always great to have another Texan around.
  16. Nice Build!
  17. Joe Citizen is not going to have the training to take on a group of terrorists. I know I don't. The weekly trip to the gun range does not provide the type of training required. The range I go to won't even allow you to double tap. A single armed citizen is probably going to have little effect on a group of trained, armed, motivated terrorists. My first impulse would be self preservation and the preservation of my family. l
  18. Thanks, I thought with the larger round, it might take a heavier buffer.
  19. What's the best buffer for a 7.62x39 AR?
  20. Sorry to hear about your friends. Wills are a minimum, trusts are better. Trusts don't have to go through probate, wills do. Estate planning is a must. Another good idea is a joint banking account with a trusted relative (son or daughter). Once the bank hears a person has passed, they freeze all of the bank accounts. With a joint account, your relative has access to cash to cover expenses.
  21. I haven't compared my YHM Phantom Titanium QD to any others, but I am totally satisfied with it. Works great on my 300 Blk and my .308. As soon as I get some extra cash, I'll buy the QD flash hiders for my 6.8 and 5.56.
  22. Primary Arms has Geissele triggers on sale for under $200.00 if anyone is in the market. https://www.primaryarms.com/AR15_Triggers_s/1337.htm
  23. Dang, that's scary. I wonder how big a stain that guy had in pants..
  24. Welcome from another Texan. We have to speak up so we are not overrun by AZ. :))
