  1. I had an extra door latch/lock added to the door at my home FBO shop
  2. Yes, beautiful twiin. My first twin was an old Piper Aztec. Once on takeoff from my friends 3500' farm grass strip the right side door popped open on wheels up. That was the closest I ever came to buying the farmIng .
  3. Bubba, Is your current buffer causing problems? Or are you like me, just wanting the best one available? Either way I reckon we are having fun and also are we trying to forget what a mess our country that so many good souls fought and shed blood for has become? DAMMIT TO HELL anyway.
  4. My thoughts are: Either that bunch of Muslin and/or ACORN Democrats, running the Executive branch, are so ignorant as to let our USA crumble or their Community Organizer in Chief boss is a treasonous evil undercover radical Islamic terrorist pile of Dog crap. Either way he should have been removed from office at least 72 months ago. Uncle Joe ain't anything to write home about, but I doubt that he could have been worse. JMHO
  5. Well I reckon sometimes you just have to say NO, but as I remember, that was just not in the flight plan when you are 16 or 20. I prefer a low wing single engine. a Mooney 230 is my favorite. and a King Air is my fav. 2 engine. I am old fashioned enough to want to see these propellers out there blowing air. My little wake up heart attack and stint shut down my medical. I had 2 172s back when they were cheap, I gave $12,000 for N20721 and sold it for $15,000 with 1700 original hours on the meter. Most of my flying was in a Cherokee 6 and a Mooney.
  6. This 172M Skyhawk is the one I bought in around 1981 in Woodward Oklahoma, and flew it four years and sold it in 1984 also in Woodward in1984 it had King radios and was IFR certified. It had the original paint from 1974. That picture was taken in Moreland OK. at my hanger. N20721 is still flying in Mass. Without the wheel pants.
  7. I never picked up range brass 45acp. Al my shooting friends used Lg pistol primers I used a primer pocket reamer to take out the military crimp and always use LG primers.
  8. I have this one on my DPMS .308 Oracle, good glass for the price

    Grilling

We had a nice Fathers day yesterday, Went to Lubbock to see my Daughter and family to see their new house and Father's Day. Son in Law cooked on his wood burning smoker-grill. Had a rack of baby-back ribs and ribeyes, fresh sweet corn and carmel peach halves and ice cream. drove back home before dark. My best Father's Day since the kids all married and moved out. Sorry but left the camera and pics in the Tahoe.
  12. Yes, The gas system is independant of the buffer and buffer spring, but the action of the BCG is determined by the gas system and buffer system working together to feed, extract, and eject. Check the Videos at David Tubb website Videos.
  13. WELL how about that I was WRONG AGAIN the Mech Armour Charging handle WON'T fit a DPMS Gen-2 LR308Sorry AL.
  14. I just ordered a charging handle from MECH ARMOUR after getting this e-mail: this is for our forum members, and is a really good price if you use this special link! Hey Mack, I just looked because I knew no one took down the 308AR charging handle deal page, and it is still there. So you can go to this hidden link to purchase what you need. Do us a favor and spread this link around on 308 in case others think the sales pages were removed. http://mechdefense.com/products/308ar-com-group-buy-sale
  15. I am just making away but doubt that a gen 2 DPMS charging handle is different than a gen 1. If I wanted a new charging handle and BTW I do! I Would go to the Mechanical Armour web site and either Email or call, ask for Van. Several months ago this forum had a group buy offer for a 3# trigger/charging handle combo. The trigger is no longer available. But they have the charging handle.
  16. Okay, thanks for the clarification, Are we now talking about apples and oranges being the same? APPLES? DPMS Gas Tube/AR 15/16 Pistol 6-5/8 Carbine 9-3/4 Mid-Length 11-3/4 Rifle 15-1/4 ORANGES? Mid ,( 223 )------------------ 11 3/4" Carbine ( 223) --------------- 9 3/4 " Rifle ( 223 ) ------------------- 15 3/16" National Match--------------- ?
  17. It was a question. One table is for DPMS AR 15 and the other for Armalite .308 ,his rifle is a DPMS LR308. Will either gas tube fit a DPMS 308 rifle of his barrel length?
  18. Maybe I should have used a Tundra in the example of voiding a warranty pickey.. pickey,NIT PICKEY. Found on the road dead, Fix or repair daily folks are really thin skinned. I wonder why?
