  1. I understand, thank you.
  2. Bravo for your enthusiasm. You might want to take heed to Brother Rsquared's advice. Legality aside for a moment, asking is also a sign of respect.
  3. I see you guys are Cromnabulistic. I'm not sleep walking into any of this, I arrived here for the 308 to begin with, and well stumbled into the 6.5 build, the .260 was intentional, I swear. Maybe I ought to stay away from this thread. Nah, I got determination.
  4. It don't take too long to figure that out. Then again this is a refreshing breath of fresh air from the humdrum, PC, zombie, ass-wipe folks. just sayin'
  5. Happy Anniversary Sir. Thirty five years, wow!!! 28 and counting here, commitment is key. My sister thought I had not better get married when I did. I explained they have a piece of paper that says you are married. They have another piece of paper that says you're not married. The paper is merely a formality. I respect a mans word. If he says yes he had better mean it. Much respect to you and your commitment. Same same with the Mrs.
  6. I see Mesa Tac.
  7. Nice knuckle joint there buddy, a little small scoop relief aft of the release plunger, with CROM in Gold relief, Nice. It's beautiful as it is, but why not own it? Forgive me, I'm assuming you created this joint. Masterful really.
  8. Found it, 10/03/16, it's third year anniversary is coming in 4 months. I keep saying this stuff, I can't be the only one here that does this.
  9. Found another box. In a previous box I mentioned I had lapping compound. This box has a Brownells AR-15 lapping tool in a still unopened plastic bag. WTphooey! I wonder if I can check Brownells and see when I bought this thing? Thankfully the remaining contents are simply snap caps of various sizes that I didn't use either. I gotta sell this stuff. My barrel ought to arrive today. I hope that aero has a sale soon, need the lower receiver for sure, and the upper to begin this 6.5 build.
  10. I have read the headspace post. Three times, didn't want to miss out on info. Thanks 98Z5V.
  11. Is there any reason for me NOT to buy a Toolcraft double ejector bcg ?
  12. Mine is saying...
  13. Actually I ordered 6.5 Creedmoor ammo and didn't. I selected 6.5 SAUM and cannot return it. I was looking to give a box to one of our members who uses it. You know our minds. My is saying we need to build a rifle for this round. Store bought rifles of this nature command 3 and 4k price tags, some 5, GAP stuff. I'm already in over my head with this group.
  14. We need a bigger boat. We need a bigger safe.

    6.5 SAUM

Anyone here use this round??? I have a couple of questions.
  16. Long range class at Volusia? Going to look that up.
  17. Great thread. Bastards. I gotta go back to one my threads. Someone threw that voodoo curse on me. " You must build a Glock." How the hell did I end up here from a 6.5 cm thread.
  18. Build is a 6.5 Creedmoor. Ordered a Criterion 22" barrel from Primary for 271.00, it should arrive Fri. Still need the receiver to go on sale for Independence Day. I'll check out the suggested Toolcraft bolt and carrier. Looking for sales. Here is where I get screwed up, I rather a bunch od supplies, get confused, and box the stuff until later. Then forget about it. This time I'm dragging the whole crew in on this deal. I can rough in a house, ( plumbing ), waste lines, water lines, vents, gas lines, heating, boiler, HW heater, off the top of my head. Give me three parts from a rifle build and I'm stuck. I ordered the barrel right? Now I'm concerned about head space, how to adjust the chamber, what tools, gunsmith??? I don't have a challenge yet and I'm already stuck on finding solutions. LOL. Anyhow, I will keep you informed.
  19. No bars equals Mo money. Good for you. I gave Vikings drinking lessons at one time. Volusia is another hour North of Port Malabar Rifle & PC, we have a 600. In any event that's good news. I have some friends who had to qualify @ 1000 with a 16 so... I glad to know there is a 1200 closer to me than I had previously known, thanks.
  20. Welcome from Florida. which range are you talking about. 1200 yds, NICE!!!
  21. terrific report, thanks.
  22. All barrels on sale. Now.
  23. I see. Energy will come on its own. I got hit with a a-fib attack while visiting Philadelphia Pa. I went from walking an easy 10 mile a day rate to 10 steps stop, ten more stop. I'm going to do a 6.5 CM build shortly, perhaps you'll follow along. As soon as the 4th of July comes, I'll get the barrel and start. The boys have been breaking my chops about that 4th business. I promised not to spend any money until then but I couldn't help myself. I got the bug. I'll do a picture slide show type thing. Feel free to jump in on suggestion or assistance. Thanks. Getting well is the first order of business.
  24. Head bowed, terrible...
