  1. I bought 500 rounds of their re-manufactured .223, 55 gn. While it isn't shot touching accurate I haven't had any issues at all in terms of feeding and firing.
  2. Everyone remember where they were? I was on a Delta B767-400 that was to be the last aircraft to land at Logan that day. It was a flight that I had taken often from Orlando to Boston through Atlanta. Only on this Tuesday morning instead of flying directly over lower Manhattan we were probably 75 miles offshore, and a column of smoke was rising from near the edge of the water. All of a sudden the column of smoke expanded dramatically. I remember looking at my watch and noticed it was 10 AM. Later, on final approach to Logan I observed that the typical queue of departing aircraft did not exist. After touchdown the pilot did a 180 on the runway and back taxied to the terminal. As we exited the aircraft the terminal was dark and a double line of state troopers escorted passengers to baggage claim. Since I was working on a contract for Massport I went to their offices and only then found out what had happened. Since it was a day trip (I was supposed to return that evening) I had no luggage or anything else. Fortunately my sister and her husband live in Boston so they came home that evening to find me sitting on the stoop in front of their apartment building. Thursday morning I was finally able to obtain a rental car (the firm I was working for had a national contract with Hertz) and I began the drive back to Orlando. I-95 basically takes you across the GW and to the NJ Turnpike which runs along lower Manhattan. The still smoking pile of rubble that was once the twin towers was clearly visible as I drove by. A sight I will never forget, created by an act that I will never forgive.
  3. That's organized, not neat!
  4. No, I am not OCD, really!
  5. I believe that firearm rehab is held at Bud's Guns on black friday!
  6. Unfortunately the taxpayers will need to spend millions on this schitbag's defense, appeals, incarceration, etc. These scum should simply be blown away. We are trying to play the game the way the communist media wants it played, much like fighting wars to win hearts and minds, a completely mindless exercise. Bottom line, kill your enemies and those who attack society's protectors.
  7. Ditto. My Ruger 30.06 really loves these over 43.5gn of H414 in Lake City brass.
  8. I got the JPGS-5B, .750 dia that retails for $79. I got it from Primary Arms on sale for about $10 less. I believe that even at MSRP it is $30 or $40 less than the Syrac/
  9. I am really happy with my JP adjustable and it was quite a bit less expensive than the Syrac.
  10. 250 Nosler 175 gn .308 HPBT from RMR, 500 55 gn SPBT from RMR, 200 Lake City .308 cases from Weatherford, 8 lbs. IMR 4064 and 1 lb Power Pistol from Mid-South. Guess what I will be doing this weekend.
  11. I am afraid this goes way beyond bad taste and timing. This defines that movement as completely racist and anti-law enforcement and therefore, by definition, anarchist. This movement needs to be put down like a rabid animal.
  12. I just think this is the nicest looking gun. It is also a very accurate shooter and easy to conceal.
  13. Interestingly the one word I have never heard Trump say is "can't." Ever heard a leader use that word? Also I don't believe I have heard Carson or Fiorina use that word either.
  14. If you really want to get pissed off take a look at this. http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/black-lives-matter-march/2015/08/29/id/672609/
  15. The sandbags would be to protect the PVC from desert ninjas. I drilled holes in opposite corners for two 1/2" x 12" spikes that work for the wind.
  16. Canadian registry?
  17. Unfortunately I don't have any digital pictures of my last airplane (owned with a buddy), a 1963 Cessna 210C - the Centurion before they took off the wing struts. Hydraulic gear and flaps with a system that always leaked but would true out at 200 mph at 10,000 feet on 8 gph. Had to sell my share when I was transferred from Florida to Colorado. Soloed on my 23rd birthday, November 13, 1970. I do miss flying, but product liability insurance has driven the cost out of sight.
  18. At our range there are some intermediate berms such that at either 100 or 200 yards you can't see the PVC from the bench area. I doubt if the furring strips will last, but they are easily replaced. I don't doubt that the ninjas, using subsonic rounds, can drop some over the berms and.......
  19. OK, here is what it looks like. Less than a minute setup time. Still having an issue with having iPhone photos upload correctly with Windows 10. Only rotated 90-degrees this time.
  20. And so if you think gun control is a treatment for mental heath issues please raise your hand. OK, now those of you with your hands raised please walk off the end of this pier.
  21. Not the case that they are all the same. I had an issue with my AR308 build with an AIM BCG. It was freezing up on the G2S trigger that I had installed. 98gave me some dimensions from one of his BCGs and there was a significant difference in the depth of the BCG as well as a few others. Changing the trigger to the MechArmor trigger seemed to cure the initial problem, but AIM offered to replace the BCG. The second BCG they sent had different dimensions from the first, still different from 98's, but now after 500+ rounds downrange without any issues it seems to be working fine. I have also seen some discussion of different triggers interacting with a BCG differently so I wouldn't assume anything about similarity of components, even if they are supposed to be DPMS or Armalite patterns.
  22. I have to wonder whether the "Black Lives Matter" folks will protest law enforcement for chasing him and confronting him thereby forcing him to shoot himself? Where are the emoticons when you need them!
  23. I discovered by accident that if you pull up New content, go through the first one, and then select the "Next Unread Topic" at the bottom of the page it takes you not only to the next topic but to the first unread post. You can't be selective, but it forces more reading. (Hell, this should probably be in the other thread!)
  24. That is why the PVC is the base and the PVC upright is only about 10-11" The frame is 1x2" wood that is easily replaced. If I place it at 200 yards on our range you can't even see the PVC, it is behind an intermediate berm. I will take pictures, probably on Friday. I can see; however, how that nice, white, PVC swims into the sight picture and.......
