  1. Only if they are left with an America based on capitalism. In a socialist oligarchy the capable will be enslaved to provide for the useless.

    Football

Haven't see any protests by any of the Steelers and they are the only pro team I still watch. If they start to protest I will turn them off as well.
  4. This would really be funny if it did not have such a large component of truth in it.

  7. Congress is doing its big bill (so we can hide the pork) thing again. Ryan and McConnell need to go or the Republicans will never show that they are capable of getting anything done.

  10. Be careful, that site does not have all of the closures, particularly on the back roads. In some cases it is because crews have not reached the roads yet, or made reports back to the EOC to get them on the site, and in some cases the situation is changing so rapidly that they simply can't keep up. Basically just stay out of the area that is defined if you draw a line around the outside of all of the closures. The situation is so bad that the crews we are sending from El Paso won't be going until Thursday or Friday because we can't even get dump trucks far enough in to begin debris removal.
  11. We are getting crews ready to head east tomorrow and Wednesday. I don't think there are many who realize just how bad this has been in terms of flooding. The clean up and basic restoration (signs, signals, debris removal) will take much longer than most realize.
  12. But don't you need a $4K rifle on which to mount that $2K scope?

  15. Don't ships still have lookouts that use that low tech gear - eyes?

  24. Howdy from the Texas side of the borders. The real difference between your 6.8 build and a .308 build is that the 6.8 uses AR-15 mil spec upper and lower receivers and all the associated lower and upper parts. My 6.8 has essentially a different manufacturer for every part. The large frame .308s are a bit different. Triggers and pins are usually interchangeable with the AR-15, but buffer and spring, lower parts kit should be either AR-10 or DPMS 308 specific. If you are acquiring a 100% lower receiver it is a good idea to use upper and lower from the same manufacturer. Make sure you check to see if the upper is high or low profile before acquiring the handguard. If you use 80% lowers you should be able to machine the lower to match the upper so fitment isn't as much of an issue. If you look around you will see that I am just parroting what is in many of the threads here so just read up before you buy and expect suggestions.
