  1. How does one go about viewing the 360° stuff? Hell, i can't even get videos to show up like everyone else, mine are still just old school links.....
  2. https://youtu.be/34XfTL2TL7U Something I stumbled on, and the geek in me likes it.....
  3. Still happy, just a bump on the road, or on my head.....
  4. I stumbled into this truth without really knowing it, and have not regretted my rifle length gas system at all from day one. And for what it is worth, this holds true even on the smaller brother....AR15.....if the gas system is done correctly.
  5. And I run Firefox on everything.
  6. Now it is all fine, but for a few days, after posting even, I was still having problems.... ...must just have been me......
  7. Hell, I just picked up a Honda trash pump out of the ditch 2 weeks ago. Carried it up to the road, checked the gas tank, looked everything else over, and tentatively, gently, pulled the cord to see if it was locked up.....it fired and ran! This was after I called my shop supervisor to see if he wanted one...he "was gonna be right there".... This didn't bother me much until I thought about selling it for maybe $75-100 just for a "good motor"...
  8. I am going to jump on the bandwagon of good break in with a 308AR. Break the thing in with lots of lube, then torture test it. These animals tend to need way more brreak in rounds than a 556 AR. And don't change out more than one part at a time.....this keeps the "fix" understood to what exactly was wrong after finding the problem.
  9. Slept in for once, then napped most of the day away. Was trying to recover from a medical condition.....
  10. I'm thinking she must like the recoil.
  11. Good to know there is another member close by. Sometime we may have to get together and get acquainted better.
  12. Understood and I agree. My XD45 worked well for me, but I did notice a slight tendency to not trip that safety 100%. My G36, never noticed a problem. Maybe I just need a girl's (or dwarf) sized pistol grip when shooting these style of triggers. I will say that there is very likely NO problems that cannot be overcome with corrective training in this sense, but I tend to lean ot a fix that works 100% of the time, and is the simplest, for me.....not using these style of triggers.
  13. I know what you guys are saying. Any trigger with that integral safety makes one have to use better trigger discipline than I have developed over years of shooting. I can only claim to have a slightly lazy/sideways way of initially pulling on a handgun trigger....that is the how of why I agree with Jacob. Not that there is anything wrong with said triggers, just that we seem to have the same way of initializing the trigger stroke. The only safety trigger that never gave me any problem is the G36 I had.
  14. And a link to my topic....https://youtu.be/XeIdDPy2O_0 Forgot it again.....
  15. Jacob, I agree with you 100%. Not only with the S&W trigger, but also on the Ruger American series triggers...I did not purchase one of those for this very reason. I'm not sure why, but almost all of the triggers with the safety levers in them give me some type of hangup at one time or another, and this is the reason for me to stay with the hammer fired system on a pistol-CZ75 style clones at the moment, or as it used to be, 1911's. During a training session lately, my teacher had me try out his Glock, and even though I didn't have a trigger blockage, I was very cognizant of the trigger safety within the pull during drills.....a distraction one does not need. Maybe I have sloppy finger technique or something, but a failure rate of "alot" is too much during something like a self defense situation. Range toy time.....totally different. I am so cognizant of this problem; that one of the few pistols that have worked for me is the Ruger SR series, and even those are not 100%; that trigger reach and grip fit is paramount for me during a "looksy" at any new pistol. I do not have small hands, nor are they large, but I am plagued by not having the ability to trip those safeties 100% of the time......so you guys are not alone.
  16. And I thought this was in relation to the smaller markings on the tape.... Until I actually read who/ what you quoted..... This was just an inner LOL for me, as I meant nothing personal....just saw it as self deprecating humor...
  17. I am wondering if anyone else is having to re-sign in every day. Normally I do not need to, and once in a great while.....no problem, but this is happening every day on every one of my phone, tablet, and PC. I am using Firefox, so if there is something I need to do with this, then I will do it. But I am getting tired of signing in every time on all machines that I use.
  18. Fuquing phone.....firefox app screwed up/locked up while I was trying to fix my auto corrected bs in my post. The Ad's is supposed to be AR's. And living or lived is supposed to be lubing or lubed. And the damn thing is still trying to autocorrect me... A
  19. I found that Weapon Shield CLP is doing more than just fine for me. My Ad's run longer with this than any other lube I have tried, save regular old high temp bearing grease....it is just not quite as messy. Even the vaunted Slip2000 did not even come close to living my B6P for any extended period as the Weapon Shield did. For example, I cannot say exactly how long before my last training session I had cleaned and lived my pistol, but it was done with Weapon Shield CLP. I ran 635 rounds through the pistol at training, and I want to say at least another 100 previously + carrying wh3never possible with 0 failures due to pistol/lube (drying slide, dragging, etcetera). It is a dirty pig, but still runs, and functions just fine, thank you! And yes, so do have a bottle of Lucas gun oil on my shelf also. It faired no better than the Slip2000 in my testing. It is now regulated to lubing tools and such on my bench.
  20. Yup, she is a keeper. And I will die from old age before my hair goes.....genetics.
  21. I had intuitively knew/considered that. Should have just known it....I know how the parts fit, as I had just put them back together before the shoot. Confirmation is appreciated though!
  22. Maybe some bubblegum......chew, chew, chew, and STICK!
  23. I figured as much, but felt the need to ask. It hasn't malfunctioned yet, and to be fair, I wasn't too worried either. If that light wouldn't have been mounted in that particular place, I would have probably never noticed the leak/blow by.
  24. I kept mine because that is what she likes, and she finally figured out that I was really tired of the upkeep and BS of dealing with it. If everything worked out, then it looked good....let some wind, hat head, hair ties come out, ect. kind of stuff and things started looking bad. She liked that caveman look on me, shiity hair, beard,......dunno.
