  1. So, after mounting a light on my FUR for a traing class, running it through the class without a hiccup, and even having the trainer find out the FUR is hard to make malfunction with a dick stick....I get home and find that there is a gas leak from the rear area of the front sight block. Just enough to make a small grey spot on the side of my light, and actually more than likely would never have known had I not found the grey gas spot on the light..... Sooo, anything to worry about, or do I need to fix it post haste...... For technical info.... F marked front sight base, gas marks on the side of the lights' bezel, which is just ahead of the rifle length free floated hand guards of a rifle length gas system. Upon close inspection, the gas looks to be blowing out of the roll pin holding the gas tube in place. Pretty normal place for excess gas to be escaping, no?
  2. Yeah, compromises.....she claims she let me cut my hair and she gets a new house out of that deal...... Mid back length hair....gone. And I am happy....way easier to care for with a nice and tight cut.
  3. Said "screw it", and started putting monies into a full progressive press setup, with a Dillon trimmer, in order to speed up both .223 and .308 loading for me. No need for a 9mm AR at this time, nor the cash for it..... A Hornady LnL 5 station with the Dillon RT1500 case trimmer should speed things up very jicely for me. Now I just wait for my larger build project to get done.....a new house. We are doing a slab on grade and oooking forward to this......way too many irons in the fire. BUT the 9mm AR is not out of the picture, just on hold for a while. And that is from the wife....
  4. We think alike, and that is what I meant by that first line.
  5. Yup, specially when that isn't even real wood..... ...and JT beat me to it....
  6. It will. I know. As hard, and as much, as I literally hammered on mine with both a claw hammer and a gunsmith hammer....yep, it will take kick stsrting, no worries!
  7. 98, Long story short, train them to replace yourself, and have them trained like you want them to do their jobs to protect you/doing their job for you. Something that I intrinsically knew when training those who worked with me, and it has happened. And I was happy to see them flourish afterwards. And I don't mean I did this at a military level, but that ideal works throughout all of life.
  8. Where do I signup? .....awww, wait, i already get a .gov check for working for them. I guess i am out of the picture now. I have proven that I am willing to work for my check, and do my best while at it.
  9. I know, late to the game...... Mecharmor all the way! 3 of them on 3 AR's and the 308AR took many multiple hammer hits to open the action due to reloading errors....and it just keeps on working! I recommend without reservation.
  10. All I know is that I wasn't there, and I wasnt helping, that much is for sure!
  11. HEY! Doesn't he have one of those Nazi type haircuts?!!?!?!?!? He should be beaten with his own weapons......
  12. We have a Brazilian grill in town. The only bad thing is the price per person, and the fact that I cannot eat as much as I used to.....then these two facts would not be as bad. We did eat there once, very good, way too much eaten, but above my pay scale.
  13. Shoot, all I could tell was that there was a slight shading during the eclipse if I took off my sunglasses.....actually worked right through it and didn't notice.....
  14. Sights are sights, laser is a laser, and optics....well I can't quite get myself to shoot a shotgun in the " homeboy" method to align my sight/optic on the side of the slide of the shotgun.....
  15. Read the "directions" on the full picture....only a retard could have written that. Modified shotgun capable of firing live rounds...??????? Handguard for mounting ....sights?????????? And my favorite===== "Stock". This is, of course, unless I am wrong......
  16. I remembered talking about Steve 'n' Seagulls, but oldies 'n' goodies never die......
  17. That was funny.
  18. And here is another cover version that I am very fond of.
  19. Seagulls or Metallica?
  20. For everyone that enjoys covers.
  21. Good times, good times........and now they seem like it was a long time ago.
  22. Sorry about that guys, no link due to overarching lack of sleep.....I have been running some long hours for a .gov heavy equipment operator like myself....
  23. Jacob, great thinking on the change-up in what one/few people can actually do in a bug out situation. There are way too many playing video games and thinking they will just shoot their way to the end. Actually they will shoot their way to the end, THEIR end..... I await the other installments to this series of videos.
  24. This is actually another testament to the longevity of the AR platform when it is done correctly. And I may assume that it still retains very good accuracy....
  25. Looks like it is just starting to break-in!!
