  1. I second the double trouble.....
  2. lead projectiles.....monkey thumbs.....
  3. ....and this is a matter of 1-2 thousandths. ...mostly problems if dealing with lesd projectiles in the 9mm.
  4. Actually, if I am reading the posts correctly over on the castboolits.gunloads.com forum that I use for my cast boolit info, the Euro pistols come in with slightly tighter spec chambers and slightly larger bore diameters....maybe this is what LEE is trying to take care of.
  5. Yup, for my match chambered 9mm full auto submachine gun...... I just needed maximum accuracy during full magazine dumps......
  6. And you need to update those pictures Shepp, photobucket sucks.......
  7. Just to let you guys know, order these stickers without fear! Mine went through the dishwasher without being any worse for wear. I had placed one on my insulated coffee holder to insure it stayed mine for IDing purposes....and happily it doesn't even have any wear/peel marks from being put through the dishwasher. High quality!!!
  8. My money, I would still push the old APF 308 carbine. They should run about $1,100 all day long, and mine's flawless running along with very very good customer service. Of course, I get no bennies for this, just my opinion and experience with mine.
  9. I agree with this totally. Now too put a little bit different spin on this, it's interesting to see how different people react to the admittance of screwing up at work in civilian life. Some take it as a joke that this happened to me some sign of weakness /stupidity, and some actually will respect you more for admitting it. The ones that you learn to respect are the ones that respect you more. Exactly how it should be no matter what station in life you are on or what you are doing.
  10. I think you might hit the fence when you shoot, I would aim just a bit higher next time.....
  11. I am in the midwest also, so not everyone is on the left coast...... North Dakota, just a small hop and skip from the hills of TN!!!
  12. Magpul grips, AFG's, and fixed buttstocks. I like them, and for the money, represent good solid value.
  13. Moffit, Carson, Mandan. ...they are all windy. Our buffalo cartidge shoots in Carson were sometimes very interesting, all windage used up and adding some kentucky windage in to "assist". Next time you are down in the Moffit area, give me some notice, I will try to get out there and meet up if you want.
  14. I was supposed to quote bfoosh006 as an answer to the Smith brake question. Only problem I am developing on mine is stress distortion of the brake, just between the ports....but that is to be expected I guess after close to 1k rounds.
  15. I am not speaking for SS, but mine works very well. And I have not thought of looking at the interface of barrel and brake.
  16. After I posted the last thoughts, I had one more. But it had to wait for the morning. The major drawback for going clone is usually the sights. They are something that is not easily replaced by aftermarket products. The SAR dovetails are something all of their own, the Canik S and P series are replacable with only one brand of sights (if I am remembering correctly), and Witness had a bit more aftermarket, but nothing like the Glock, XD, and so on. If you want to go this way, I do suggest looking into what is available for sights, if you are the type of person who neede to change these out or whatever, as this can be a major sticking point. One other thought, there was one guy (custom gunsmith on the CZ Forum) who did change out sights, but came to the conclusion that it was NOT worth the cost for replacing SAR sights due to re machining the slide, refinishing, labor, sight cost, and making a gun that was already available for the same price elsewhere.....a true CZ75 with night sights, and dovetails that were supported by aftermarket products. Does this make sense? I guess in the end, you need to figure out if the pistol will work for you as is, and not worry about upgrades which more than likely are not available. Reality, it sucks sometimes.....but I can live with my choices and do not feel uncomfortable.
  17. Another thought..... Shoot them to cause squealing......should attract more after a bit. But the use of a can is recommended then.
  18. That just looks like a good start.
  19. I also have a Witness model that is set up like my B6P, but has a rail up front. .... all 3 use same mags, have same DA/SA modes, and same 3 dot style of sights. Only differences are safety location, and color, the Witness has a tan frame.
  20. The slide mounted version is a safety/decocker model that worked like the Beretta 92. My B6P has the frame mounted safety, much like the 1911, and both can be carried safety off, DA/SA, with no problems. The decocker model is a Tanfoglio (Witness by any other name) FAB92, imported for a short time. Here is a link to the other side of the pistol. https://www.rkguns.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/800x800/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/1/7/17874060.jpg The only caveat to the SAR line is that they are Turkish made, and thst causes problems for some.....not me.
  21. And I just realized that for some reason my photo is reversed.....
  22. All that I can tell you, as far as the class idea, is that mine functioned great through 635 rounds I had one failure to fire (totally ammo related) and one where there was a failure to go into battery completely (I chock that one up to operator grip sloppiness). And this gun had a couple hundred rounds through previous to class without cleaning, plus months of EDC when I could with only 2 periods of lube applied that I can remember.....non being just previous to class. It is still a dirty pig, as I haven't cleaned it yet, and the class was a month ago. I have no worries it will function fine if needed. All this from a sub $400 gun....i paid $320 out the door. SAR B6P. B6P on top.
  23. I didn't step to glock, but CZ75 clones for everything, 9mm replaced the 45acp, and I am not looking back longlingly at all. The reasons for me not going into the glock/xd/m&p/ or others of the striker fired has to do with the trigger discussion on the thread in your section. Besides the CZ75 fit is as perfect as can be for my hands without needing backstrap changes or anything else. Just chose bullet types/brands carefully for carry with the 9mm. They have came a very long way in the past few years.
  24. ......so if I take pics of my buckets of 308 brass, there will be addresses forwarded to me also?
  25. Worth the upgrades for the prices.
