Traveling without too much of a plan is great, that way you can make time for the really interesting things. Colorado is on my list for places to not go again, and service is the main reason. Too many dopeheads just not giving a f ¥ ck about doing anything wherever I stopped 2 years ago.

Yah, that kind of load from a bench is a killer. There is no way to let the body absorb recoil and distribute it as it does when standing. If you really want to screw someone up, have them shoot that prone. And make sure your hospital is close, they might need it to deal with the broken shoulder bones. Our insurance company had one exception to shooting positions when we signed up with them during startup on the range I am involved with.....prone. Especially as we are a buffalo rifle club, and 45/70 is a mid range cartridge getting shot there. Most don't load anywhere near that hot, as 100 rounds makes one punch drunk ta the end of the day......

Unfortunately that situation started being DQ'd in the 50's if I remember correctly from what I read somewhere. There were "better" and "more humane" ways of treating the nutcases......drugs and integrated into society, so we can deal with the fallout from their actions....not locked up behind closed doors, playing chess and chasing butterflies; where their actions only affected the other nutcases or the orderlies. Either way, nutcases are going to deal out bad actions, and a better form of control over them is what is lacking now.

I know this is a few days old, but is interesting to hear things first hand.

Sorry to be a broken record, but the sign in problem is back. Details for admins if wanted..... I made a different password, and since have had to re-login every time I come to the site. Yup, that could be chalked up to "sh1t happens" , but there are just more than average rates of death for the people that survived in the Vegas shooting. Or maybe just better reporting of their deaths, since they all were in a noteworthy incident.

Even the news article on foxnews didnt quite sound right to me. Maybe someone who is skimming the article, and calling that "reading", but there weren't too many normal things about crashing and burning into a metal gate within sight of you daughter.
