I know one thing, the Tac Ops worked so fine in my 308AR (APF 308 carbine model, which is DPMS Gen I compatible), I went out and bought more to retrofit my little AR15's. Let me tell you, the Tac Ops handled many multiples of mortaring with a hammer in my 308AR....and THAT takes some beating!

Make damn sure a good body shop figures that frame is either true, or bent (not true)....you know. Everything else is cosmetic on those old vehicles. Sucks, but true..... One can live with alot of dents/rust/body crap....but a twisted frame can screw you up before you hit 2nd gear.

Range/time report....... Jacobs' sling does exactly what I need it to do for me. I can see where the cut length might not work in all situations, but I love his work and the sling. There NO complaints from this boy! And the Tango Down mount from Blue109, this works for me also....I just did a bit of research on how to render these mounts "non-rotation" and so far my efforts work well. Fine tuning will, provide best solution in the future.

Yuppers.... Any scope cannot handle getting direct hits from .223 or .308...no matter manufacturer.....even Leupold/Swarovski/any maker will NOT warranty direct bullet holes from standard range shooting abuse.... The meme is funny, but not real.
