It's just an example of stock kinda weight. When I hunt with it, I'd have a five rounds in a 10 round magazine. That would easily knock a pound off the weight right there.
Here's my LR-308 Oracle with a 16" HBAR barrel. Hogue stock and grip set and a Banner 1.5-4.5X32 scope and a Rise drop in trigger. With a full 20 round mag it's 11 pounds. Under 10 pounds should be easy in a hunting config with an 18" barrel. Or is it?
Here's a warm welcome wave from North Carolina. I'm prior 1/9th Air Cav., I can relate to the M60 for sure. That damn pew, pew, pew 5.56 round can't touch the BOOM, BOOM, BOOM of a .308/7.62X51. I love my DPMS LR-308 Oracle.
sketch MAS Defense is local to me. I have never heard a bad word about them. Their reviews are great. That is where my next 5.56 80% build is coming from.
Our Flat Coat Retriever was a rescue dog. OK more like she was dumped out of a car on the side of the road. It has taken her 6 months to finally start to be a retriever again. She was stressed out big time.
