  1. I can sympathize with the shifter probs. I used to ride a KZ1000 and also had a KZ650 that I bought from Dallas PD that was a screamer; they big-bored it so it could keep up with the 1000's and after I took the windjammer & saddlebags off it was nearly uncatchable. Worst ride ever? A tossup between that ride from Lubbock TX to Ft Lauderdale Fla while it rained the whole frigid trip and the time I had TWO ingrown toenails that made shifting and rear-braking excruciating. Solved that little prob with my pocket knife while gulping Jack Daniels!
  2. It seems to me that the major malfunction lays in the area of enforcement provision, where we have provisioned the govt with ample means to enforce their rules while providing much less provision of the ability to enforce the constitution upon the govt.
  3. That is quite the prepper's list, wash. Sure you don't want to slip a pink hand cannon in there somewhere with all that? ;)
  4. I have the Juggernaut Tactical AR-15 & 308 jigs, and the Modulus Arms HD AR-15 jig. The Modulus, with it's steel rather than aluminum plates, is superior by far. It's also billed as being compatible with multiple lowers. You'd think the Modulus would be a lot more expensive but it was only $179 while the JT's are $140ea. Can't wait for Modulus to come out with the steel 308 model.
  5. A beautiful build! I like the BUIS-45's on every build, a feature I like to have on mine too, Hat's off to you sir, you do nice work.
  6. Was in a private junkyard 'o rusted hulks one time and learned that a .177cal lead pellet wouldn't break a car's windshield no matter how many pumps on the old Daisy or Crossman but a steel BB would break them with only 1 pump.
  7. When I looked, Rainier was out of stock. The CMT matched upper & lower set were in stock but dang they're $$$!
  8. I said "Honey, it's like when you take a car to the bodyshop for a fender replacement, they don't come already painted. The painting comes after it's installed and it's all just part of the final form and function" after which she gave me that look I'm sure we're all familiar with haha
  9. Haha, shows how little attention I can pay sometimes. I didn't even notice the bolt action!
  10. I know & what's up with that anyway? I don't know which one's more alluring, momma packing heat or the unarmed damsel in bikini!
  11. June of 80?! Naww, you ain't old, not by a long shot
  12. Ain't she beautiful! A shame she's got that stumpy magazine hangin' out of her! Need someone to send ya a 25-round pmag? ;)
  13. I think nun is a noun except when it's going all NUN on ya then it's an action-verb haha

No worries, I still have the gun so at least I've got that much. Would you believe I got this original lever-action Winchester 9422 .22mag about 5 years ago for only $50, while saving it from a nephew that was going to take it to a pawn-shop? It was a nice surprise when I found out how much these 9422's are worth these days!
  15. For me it's just a matter of how much shrapnel do you want to pick out of the meat. Personally, I prefer the cleaner wound cavity produced by the FMJ. And btw, nice shooting, sir. You don't need any help from us but we appreciate your sincerity.
  16. Man, that one hits the nail square on the head
  17. In fact, I have your $259 LR308 16" stainless on my radar :)
  18. You're not out of the running yet. Still getting a 16" for it
  19. Both the Federal and Nosler are excellent loads. No need to price increase up to Lapua when you're running the quality you already are.
  20. Since my other barrel is 7.62x51 NATO, I bought 7.62 headspace gauges. And now that this one is .308Win, now I have to buy .308Win gauges too. Hey, better to have them than not haha
  21. Let me know when you're coming & I'll see if my buddy's place is open for shooting while you're around. Wouldn't mind getting to try out this new bipod but there's currently only enough space to go out to about 200yds. Hopefully we can get some tractor work done this Summer to get some better range.
  22. Just bought a new Ballistics Advantage .308 18" Govt Tactical profile with a mid-length gas system. Haven't installed it yet, since I don't yet have an upper to put it on. Got the barrel for $144 yeehaw
  23. My time spent looking at things other than handguards in this thread somehow vastly outpaces my time spent commenting here ;)
  24. That is a good looking BCG
  25. I thought she did an awesome job of it.
