Anyone ditch an AR-15 after picking up your AR-10?

Wash, I'm willing to clean up some of your clutter for you. ? -
Sounds nice. Sadly I don't think I have anything to offer the gun shop owners around here, so you should just keep an eye out for good deals out of pity for me. lol.

Tom, where was this information 2 years ago for me? lol. I have not even come close in finding cost this low! You just wanted to make sure you finished your .260 first.

I have come to love the 300blk more than my .223. but even though I think .300blk can do basically anything 5.56/.223 can (except shoot as flat past 300), these rounds are still very useful and plentiful. So long as they are in use like they are in military and police agencies, there will always be a benefit to having them. and besides the .300blk you got the 6.5 Grendel that is better at longer ranges, but doesn't hold as many in the mag, not as easy to find stuff for reloading, and no subsonic rounds like 300 blk. Then you have your .308ar rifles. just like with .223, .308 is very common and easily found, but so much more powerful that you can take elk with it. yet it is more expensive to shoot than .223 and has a lot more recoil, not to mention it comes in a heavier package. Then you have 6.5cm and .260 rem, both very similar. flatter shooting and less recoil than .308 with better bc bullets that allow it to hold energy and buck the wind at greater distances. 6.5cm is getting pretty easy to come by (not even close to .308 though) and .260 uses .308 brass and other cases that come from the .308 parent case. I could go on and on with many more calibers and how they compare, but the point is, there is not 1 or 2 rifles that can truly cover everything. might be a few that could come close. And then you have what was said about short barrels, long barrels, etc. different setups are valuable in different areas. The question comes down to, are you going to use it and do you see the value of owning it because they value is there and they have their uses. Also having multiples can be good for when you are shooting with family or friends. just like how you said one ar15 is yours and one is your wife's. I think there is always a point in having more guns just as long as it doesn't end up a neglected gun. ? -
don't forget the E-4 Mafia!

Ok, you talked me into it. Still willing to take other ideas someone else might have. Tom, what's your favorite lever for the bad-ass? I see they have several variations. Have already been drooling over them... but was hoping there might be something cheaper that would work well. Might be where I go unless there are other ideas. Me too. they are relatively inexpensive, and work really well. my pistol light and main flash light for work are streamlights.

Ok guys, so Christmas and my birthday is coming up. I am looking into a few things that my family can buy me to improve my 300 blk without breaking the bank. Could use some help finding inexpensive improvements for my budget rifle. Worst thing on the rifle is the trigger, but that is already covered with plans on a LaRue trigger. Next is the ambi safety selector. It's a bit sluggish and instead of smoothly flipping on and off, you have to push it through its full 90 degree rotation or it will stop somewhere in the middle. I never had any problems with any mil spec shape or feel. could use some input here on an inexpensive replacement that won't disappoint and don't need anything fancy. Muzzle device I would like to replace also. It currently has a birdcage on it but I would like to get a decent muzzle brake that will reduce muzzle rise for faster follow up shots. I don't expect this to be the final muzzle device to go on the rifle because I would like a suppressor eventually. Mainly I am just looking for a low cost improvement until I can afford a suppressor and a different muzzle brake that would go with said suppressor. So low cost is paramount, no point spending over $80 since it isn't going to be permanent. A weapon mounted light is also another thing I would like (and might even use it for work), as I have already shot a few night time critters with the 300 blk. I used a sure fire while in the military, but I can't and don't want to spend that much on a tac light. I was thinking a streamlight ProTac possibly, but would take other suggestions for an affordable light. I would like it to be able to use a remote pressure switch though. So let me know what you guys think would be good. I have been very impressed with the rifle so far and love how much harder the 300 blk hits on target compared to 5.56.

nice I like it... maybe I will get some pink handcuffs for the "tough" guys. haha. but I'm really wondering how long it is gonna take and how many officers have to pay the price for changes to be made.

probably one of the reasons why threads go off topic all the time. haha

I agree. they go to easy on them, and I know part of it is the jails are prisons are more full than they should be and so they try and limit who they keep. The county I live in just built a new jail. within less than a month of it being built, it was full and they had to move people to neighboring county jails. They sentences are to easy often times and jail is to easy. When I arrest people I often times go hangout with the jail deputies and have a cup or two of coffee; I see the inmates watching tv, playing cards, games, sleeping whenever they want, getting away with stuff because they guards don't want to have to punish them and do more paperwork. For many of the inmates, jail life is easier than when they are out. Hell, basic training is a heck of a lot harder than what it looks like those in the jail have to deal with. It's no wonder these repeat offenders never learn their lesson. If they feared jail/prison, maybe they would think twice before doing something stupid, especially harming officers.

Worry for your loss brother, may he live as a king in the next life for his sacrifice.

Yeah I prefer my legs forward on my bipod, don't think you are gonna get any poop from anyone here on that... and your scope mount looks like it was installed correctly, so you are safe there. haha

What do you have on order or in the mail? Part 2

Everyone has their price. haha -
Im not into butt sex with animals, even deer. lol I was on duty, I can't just throw a dead deer in the back of my squad. lol. I did help another guy, with a little honda civic hatch back, put the deer in the back of his tiny car. lol. I'm sure the video is probably funny as hell.
