  1. I'm posting that at work... site is very heavy with management and supervisors
  2. Sadly my guess is you'll soon see people complaining about police wearing 'assult gloves' and trying to ban them.

    My first gun

First rifle was a sporterized Lee Enfield which I sadly no longer have and first pistol was a CZ 75B which I still have
  7. That model press uses 7/8"-14TPI dies which is the most common so as long as he buys dies with that threading he'll be fine. There are a few out there that are differet/propritary. I don't think the dies for the Dillion square deal have the 7/8"-14 threading. Depending on the spacing on the press head he might have to swap out the lock rings to smaller outer diameter. Not a given but different manufactures have different style/outer diameter lock rings

  10. I save bacon fat 'cause it's the best for cooking breakfast hashbrowns in
  11. Scotch tape probably compresses being soft, either take a sacrificial feeler guage set and cut up a 4thou onto a disk. Just a tiny dap of grease will hold the piece on the back of the go gauge. If you know someone at a machineshop you could see if they can give you a small piece of 4thou shim stock and use that instead of cutting up a feeler gauge.
  12. I came across the 7mm saum after we talk and you brought up a lot of excellent point to consider. I'm hoping to have more info Mon/Tues as to the current practicallity of the 7mm PRC in Canada. I feel the 7mm as a caliber has potential to reach out and touch with out being the thumper of the 300 and larger. From a reload point there is lots of data for powders and bullets along with a decent availible componets for the 7mm saum up here. As you pointed out things can be rebarreled, lots of reading still left, hopefully more people will make suggestions.
  13. Was going to call it Operation Furry Beaver but between some here and their issues with beavers( the rodent) and the rest thinking it would be something similar to tractor porn... As some of you are aware things aren't so rosy on the gun front here in Canada and the current government is not only looking to follow Australia,England and New Zeland down the drain but outperform them It seems the plan is to ban stuff but grandfather owners( proof it's not about safety) so time to build my LR grail gun and wait for a change in government. So looking to build a precision long range gun and still trying to decide on the caliber. So figuring that 90% of my shoouting will less then 1200M but want to be able to hit the 1 mile at the Shoots. My first consideration was/is 7MM PRC but still pretty new and support is close to zero. Builder isn't sure how soon they can get a reamer( still looking) plus getting brass, dies up here. Still looking and seeing timeline on this The builder suggested 300 PRC and also mentioned 7-300 PRC since I mentioned 7m. Quick check shows availble brass, dies and bullets for the 300. So my question to you guys is what calibers should I consider and why.
  14. Get better soon, knee injuries are to me what finger injuries are to Tom. Here's hoping that recovery is swift from both knees and shingles and we'll see you in the spring.
