No pics needed... it will only make me sad that I'm not there to shoot it which means I'm not there to eat drink and be merry with the greatest group of deplorables in the universe.

So next time an anti gunner tries to use gun control in Canada, Australia, England as an argument for stricter gun control in the US. Of course that would require them to look at facts rather then feelings so it's an uphill battle. Conclusion of the report This brief review of gun laws shows that disarming the public has not reduced criminal violence in any country examined here: not in Great Britain, not in Canada, and not in Australia. In all cases, disarming the public has been ineffective, expensive, and often counter productive. In all cases, the means have involved setting up expensive bureaucracies that produce no noticeable improvement to public safety or have made the situation worse. The results of this study are consistent with other academic research, that most gun laws do not have any measurable effect on crime (Kleck 1997: 377; Jacobs 2002). As I have argued elsewhere (Mauser 2001a), https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/lbrr/archives/cnmcs-plcng/cn32226-eng.pdf Fun fact, the author's name is Gary Mauser This is on record with Public Safety Canada( federal department) so it's not like the government can claim ignorance but yet they continue to ban firearms and harass law abiding firearms owners. The author is Gary A. Mauser is a Full Professor in the Institute for Urban Canadian Research Studies and the Faculty of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

Somewhere in Casa de Pain there is some ammo waiting my return. As of this week the issue is no longer the US border but the rules on me returning to Canada. I have to satisfy federal provincial and work rules requiring expensive tests and short quarantine( work rule). The border states are applying political pressure to have Canada ease it's return requirements so I'd say things looking hopeful for me to swing by Idaho, grab @Magwa for a spring roadtrip

AR-10 platform - what other calibers can be built????
Cunuckgaucho replied to N5XES's topic in General Discussion
The .260 also didn't show up( for me) till third list because of case length at 2.035". If I change the parameter to cases up to 2.035" then there are 544 caliber options -
AR-10 platform - what other calibers can be built????
Cunuckgaucho replied to N5XES's topic in General Discussion
I covered my a$$ in stating max of original case length. This is a crude way to sort out which will feed through the mag well but no means perfect. The 7mm-08( Remington and Ackley) are both 2.035" vs .308 at 2.015" If I remove the case length constraint then there are 1112 caliber options. A number of those would regulate the large AR frame to a single shot -
I found the manuals...

“Wild Bill“ Donovan spent some time in Canada during the WW2 years. Camp X was established December 6, 1941 by the chief of British Security Co-ordination (BSC), Sir William Stephenson, a Canadian from Winnipeg, Manitoba and a close confidant of Winston Churchill and Franklin Delano Roosevelt The camp was originally designed to link Britain and the US at a time when the US was forbidden by the Neutrality Act to be directly involved in World War II. On the day before the attack on Pearl Harbor and America's entry into the war, Camp X had opened for the purpose of training Allied agents from the Special Operations Executive (SOE), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and American Office of Strategic Services (OSS) intended to be dropped behind enemy lines for clandestine missions as saboteurs and spies. However, even before the United States entered the war on December 8, 1941, agents from America's intelligence services expressed an interest in sending personnel for training at the soon to be opened Camp X. Agents from the FBI and the OSS (forerunner of the Central Intelligence Agency, or CIA) secretly attended Camp X in early 1942; at least a dozen attended at least some training.[8] After Stephenson established the facility and acted as the Camp's first head, the first commandant was Lt. Col. Arthur Terence Roper-Caldbeck. Colonel William "Wild Bill" Donovan, war-time head of the OSS, credited Stephenson with teaching Americans about foreign intelligence gathering.[6] The CIA even named their recruit training facility "The Farm", a nod to the original farm that existed at the Camp X site.[10]

My experiences are more like poor Anderson in the video below but with electricity and electrical equipment.

I once nailed a 4 inch sewer pipe that wasn't suppose to be there. I punched through on a plateau and the pipe went up( 60 degrees) another 50 feet. Everything from above came down while the lower pump pushed up the hill. I heard/felt the pick break into the pipe, the poop came out straight up and I remember looking up as it began to geyser and flare above me... the next moment I was over an 8ft wall with 5ft high rails and far enough up the hill to be looking down on the geyser. Didn't get a single drop on me

Hard to argue with those results

For those that don't have an actual sweet green 'Cuda there are options

Amazing pics, if you ever make it out this way I'll take you to a couple abandon gold mines. It's about 17hrs to Hyder Alaska from my place and some beautiful country to go through. The speedometer pic at beginning and end was a great touch.
