  9. The legislation mentioned has been in the works for a while. Rumor had it they were going to table it but corona-19 sent everything sideways. Had this not occured, it would have likely stayed in the background due to cost. The government has been pretty cagy as to how this would roll out. 1- Grandfathering- ban future importation but allow current holders of banned firearms to continue possession and buy/sell only among fellow prohib owners. Canada already has similar situation. 2- Buyback( guns and accessories) - Will be stupidly expensive(there is an estimated 10.5M firearms in Canada( this is government number and believed by industry to be on the low side- better optics) Compliance expected to be low especially if government does stupid crap like issue tax credits rather then money 3- Confiscation- compliance expected to be low as people will see this as theft. The big sticking point for the government is they need to table the list of firearms they wish to ban. Now AR-10/15 are restricted( registered because of their name) Canada has a number of AR like firearms( many using some to lots of AR parts. Stag 10 for example is non restricted so no registration or paperwork if sold/traded. So as soon as they announce which firearms will be banned expect with in 24 hrs there will not be one in stock anywhere in the country. It will at a minimum be 3 months between tablinging list and passing law( highly unlikely even under ideal conditions. The antis are asking the government to immediately ban the import along with the sale of 'assault like weapons' which at this point they will not provide even a criteria as to what an assault like weapon will be.Not to mention the fact that it still has to be tabled and go through several readings. The antis are a small but vocal group that needs something like this to get try and rally support from average citizen who generally is indifferent. Now the government know they'll get push back and in the past has drawn things out while pretending to study the situation.A lot of this 'new' legislation is stuff they had written up 5 years ago in 'promises' to the anti groups. On interest is that word is leaking out that a number of these deaths were not actual shootings- no official confirmation but the ex and her boyfriend were tied to a tree and beaten to death and a number of other were killed in other ways. Of course the government doesn't want a tragedy to go to waste. They haven't listed firearms involved,if they are on the potential ban list, causes of death, if the killer was a licenced firearms owner or if the firearms involve obtained in a legal manner. If they banned marriage there wouldn't be ex-spouses...
  10. The antis are already dancing on the graves before all the facts are in So far the count now sits at 22 victims. In that there is a 17 yo girl killed alongside her parents and a pregnant caregiver He was wearing an official issue RCMP uniform and had painted up a car to be indistinguishable if parked beside another patrol car all which takes time and planning.. No information on the firearms used, official issue(RCMP) is S&W 5946, C8 patrol carbine(14.5 in barrel AR), he apparently took the officers pistol after shooting her. It seems the the primary victims were his ex and her boyfriend. He then went around killing people taking advantage of the uniform and police car. This went on over a 12 hr period. There are people questioning why the police posted on twitter but did not use an existing system which sends out warnings to cellphones
  11. Instead of 7.5 in tell her it's 19 cm( just mumble this part)
  12. Seems he executed his ex and her boyfriend then drove around pulling random people over( they thought he was a police officer) and shooting them. The number of dead is now 19 and police say there may be more still.
  13. He did a pretty good job on the car. I believe this is an actual police car they photoshopped the number but that was the only distinguishing feature
  14. The story of what's known, still lots of speculation. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/mass-killings-what-we-know-what-we-don-t-1.5537918 Small rural town in Nova Scotia(eastern Canada) 51yo male dressed up in RCMP uniform and driving a car painted to look like a RCMP patrol vehicle. Motive is unknown as shooter shot and killed in custody. As of this time 17 dead, one officer(23 year veteran,mother,2 kids). seems a number of these people were random with no connection to the shooter. Several fires were started related to this. There was obvious premeditation( uniform and police car) and he owned multiple properties so be interested to see if those were the ones set on fire. To put it into perspective the chart shows year and number of firearms related homicides for all of Canada. The spike 2016-2018 was gang related. Type of firearms 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Number Total firearms 5 155 179 223 267 249

  20. I run DeWalt at home and the work truck comes with Milwaukee. I'm happy with both and can't go wrong with either. For the most part stuff is similar but certain tools one is better then other as to balance, feel and small features. This is more with the specialized/less homeowner focused tools. Once you get the basic starter kit with charger/battery you are good to go and can buy just the stripped tool as needed( cordless circular saws are so much nicer then corded, cordless vacuum is nice for cleaning as you go ) also there are aftermarket battery packs available much cheaper( do your online research prior to buying). For battery use/long life, heat is the enemy both in use and in charging. I tend to swap out my batteries at the 50% charge mark.I have 4yo batteries still good( used daily in industrial setting) One plus I like with DeWalt is that when they upgraded their batteries they made an adapter so I can use my older 18V stuff with the new 20V battery packs. Forgot to add- take a look at cordless tire inflators for each( seeing as you have the 4x4. I have the DeWalt, can't comment on the Milwaukee.
