The item in the pic is the bottom of the trigger guard opening. Did you put the decent and springs in both the takedown pins? You didn't show a pic I'd the detent and spring you have left over. There is also a different spring and detent for the safety.
That white one catches grown deer. Skunks ,coons,yotes etc dont stand a chance Great pyreness make good stock protection dogs. We also have a female almost as big. I have to lock them in the barn to coyote hunt.
Yes also directs most of the sound forward. That break mostly vents gas sideways and to the rear helping with recoil. Flash can redirects noise and gases forward after they exit the muzzle break
No I was showing an example of what was done to help with the up and right muzzle rise. Flash hinders don't usually effect which way the muzzle goes when you pull the trigger.

I put 1 like this on my 308 and Grendel.
No body mechanics. If you look at AK47s the slash cut muzzle break pushes the muzzle down and left. My race gun shooting one handed goes up and right and you can watch it in the red dot. Left handed it goes up and left.
