  1. I would install a different buffer tube. They are not much $. I'm thinking it is tweaked a bit.
  2. From your pics the gas block doesn't have enough carbon to seal yet. The pic of your gouged buffer isn't showing up. It shows a broken link on my end. These guns take some breaking in to get everything working. Your probably looking at 100-200 rounds. Maybe less maybe more.
  3. I have 2 . One on a Grendel and one on a 308. So far so good. I will keep an eye on them.
  4. I'd bet the flat wire spring is to long and your buffer won't go in the buffer tube far enough. I may be wrong but I don't think so.
  5. A 308 rifle buffer is 5.2" Not 5.5". that is your problem.
  6. You only need to list your problem one place. How long is your buffer? Pictures of what you are working with would help. Real hard to help you without seeing what you have to deal with.
  7. Seems like a decent way to paint a gun.
  8. We had thunder storms and hi winds this afternoon. Now just light rain.
  9. Glad it likes the new ammo better. Cans don't usually make groups worse.
  10. Fix the recoil system first. If you can find the Armalite AR10 carbine gas tube somewhere it should be the proper length you need. The gun should run with the one you have now but it will work better w/the proper length gas tube.
  11. My two newest pocket knives.
  12. Welcome from KY.
  13. This is what I got.
  14. I don't remember where but I just saw the aluminum car stocks on sale today. I remembered where. https://www.jsesurplus.com/aceessentialretrocoatedaluminumcarbuttstockwoutbufferandspring.aspx
  15. A left handed drill bit will get the messed up set screw out .
  16. Just measure the gas tube to the pin hole while still in the gas block. Then just measure another gas tube from the pin hole to the end and add the two measurements.
  17. I have several different chest racks set up for different guns/calibers. Bare bones plate carrier can go underneath all of them.
  18. Your buffer is to light. This buffer along w/a springco orange spring should fix the recoil system. https://www.kakindustry.com/lr308-carbine-buffer-heavy You do not have enough mass in the buffer to slow down the bolt carrier group. Your gas tube doesn't come to the middle of your cam cutout.
  19. This doesn't look bad. https://www.opticsplanet.com/haley-strategic-partners-d3cr-heavy-chest-rig.html
  20. Take the gas block off and measure the gas port first. You only change one thing at a time. Unless your buffer spring is totally wack the rifle length recoil system should work. Quit throwing parts and money at the problem till you figure out what the problem is.
  21. In case you missed it he was pranking us for April fool's.
  22. How snug did the new barrel fit the receiver? Any play? If so you can use locktite 609 to bed it in.
  23. 1/7 will shoot 69-77 gr bullets better than 55's
  24. In do not recall who made those. I bought those to haul FAL mags and I haven't had one of those for about 8 years. I also have some open top single 308 mag pouches somewhere. Pretty sure those are Condor.
  25. The Magpul 25 rnd mags fit in AK mag pouches pretty well
