While on our hog hunt. Two of our party got turned around in the dark. They didn’t think to drop a pin in a map program as to where they left the ATV. As luck would have it cell service is pretty good where we were. It would have been a lot longer night with out communications. I had about a 2 mile walk to where they parked the ATV. Then started it and turned on the lights and made noise so they could get a direction to walk back to the ATV. They were about 400 yds in the opposite direction they thought they were. At least when they realized they were lost they stopped and sat down and didn’t make things worse. They will not make fun of me always taking my pack with food, shelter, water, first aid, compass, and fire making equipment any more. It’s easy to get turned around when you are in a place you only go once a year.

These large frame guns are NOTHING like the small frame guns. Fixing a gun over the internet is almost impossible without all the pertinent data. This is Bear Creek's new gun and this is the second one that has had problems. Start you a new thread and give us data and we will get it running.

If your gas block and tube are not sealed up with carbon yet that could happen and still be a bit over gassed. Not saying that's it, just a possibility. A bit of flitz on a bore mop in the drill on low speed to polish the chamber a little might not hurt. You don't want to polish the chamber so smooth it can't hold on to the case when it fires.

I have the problem of leaving the case in the chamber with my 5.56 pistol. Only when I use steel case ammo. The bolt is moving too fast before the case shrinks enough to be extracted. Your BCG might be running a little fast. A heavier buffer or less gas may solve this issue.

It is ok not great. I was just watching 2 rabbits @ about 100 yds. Going to Alabama at the end of the week to shoot some hogs. This is the cheapest thermal Scope ATN sells. It does a better job than the first gen ATN it scope I have. Pretty easy to see what the dogs are barking at without messing with IR lights.

If you use a 6" black square and shoot at 1 corner 6X should be enough.

The slide is heavy because those guns are straight blow back.

If it works with a captive recoil system I'd be surprised. Not many folks having any luck with those.
