  1. Once upon a time Sig sold a bunch of 12" 308 barrels to CDNN Sports. Several from this forum built pistols/sbr's from these barrels. They had a really weird gas port location. White Oak Armory makes custom length gas tubes. I built 2 pistols. Both run and shoot fine. Not suppressed though. Faxon also makes those length barrels if I remember correctly. Armalite 308 carbine buffer tube and spring w/a h3 buffer. Both pistols run 147-175gr ammo just fine.

    Nice pics.
  3. Panzer 1-10x24 First Focal Plane LPVO Scope https://share.google/KNqQrUJqCs0brAXfQ I have this on a 5.56. Stays zeroed. Lifetime warranty. Not the greatest glass but not bad for the price.
  4. Get well soon. Glad you can see out of at least 1 eye properly. My cataract surgery was a night and day difference.
  5. Picked this up from CDNN Sports. 24in barrel , hi viz sights, rail for optics, inertia recoil operating system like Benelli. Original mag tube holds 5+1 rounds. If you drill out the 4 little dimples in the mag tube it will hold 8+1. So far it runs fine on any shells doing over 1250 fps. A little over 200 rounds through it so far. Comes w/4 choke tubes and wrench. Was on sale for $149.00. Now back up to $169.00. Not bad for a cheap shotgun.
  6. What probably happens is the heavier bullets are in the barrel just a fraction of a second longer. Allowing the amount of gas going back to the bolt carrier group to be enough. Letting the rifle cycle. Amazon has Numbered drill bit sets. Also get a caliper to measure the drill bits. Remove the gas block. Which drill bit just fits? Which drill bit is just a fraction to large? That tells you about the size of your gas port. Use the shank of the drill bit not the pointed end to measure. How many rounds do you have through this rifle? The bolt carrier group may not be broken in yet. Did you soak the BCG in Mobile One overnight?
  7. If you do a search here for Daytona Tactical you will find problems with their products. Read the waterboarding thread and get us the measurements we need to help you. You didn't need to build it to measure things. What spring did you use with the buffer you bought from Clint? Off the top of my head. 1 soak your bolt carrier group in Mobile One motor oil. 2 Get a set of numbered drill bits and remove the gas block and tell us what size the gas port is.
  8. Hi, how are we supposed to be able to help you without exact details. List everything about your rifle. Who made what parts. Search for the waterboarding thread. That will give you a idea of the level of information we need to help you fix your rifle over the internet from miles away.

  15. Went and saw STYX, Kevin Cronin from REO SPEEDWAGON , and Don Felder from the EAGLES
  16. the "rifle length or mid length" gas system upper has nothing to do with the recoil system. These are separate things.
  17. If you buy the rifle stocked one and not the carbine stocked one you will probably have a gun that runs. My first one was a rifled stock one and it functions well. The carbine stocked ones is where they cut corners on parts. Welcome from Ky.
  18. He had to open up the gas port just a bit. My Creedmoor and 6Arc barrels gas port was fine.
  19. Welcome from Ky
