    Haven't seen 6.5 G since last September. Local SGS had 40-50 boxes of S&B 7x57 when I was in earlier this week. Not much else. Few boxes of Hornaday bullets. 55 FMJ and 30 cal 150's.

    Woke up to 34 degrees this am, Warmest temp in a couple of weeks, snowed about 2-3" of wet heavy snow this morning, with no wind, Wind is howling out of the NW now. overcast.

    Just ordered an 18oz. "composite" stock for my incoming Howa Mini from Oregunsmithing LLC. Bad thing it will be about 3 months for delivery. Rifle, Leupold and the hinged bottom metal should be in next week. Between Covid and the cold weather everything is running behind.

    Heard something on the news today, Texas relies on windmills for approximately 25% of their power, lost almost all that power because the WM's froze up. That's not good with these temps.

    26 below zero this am, 16-18 inches of snow on the ground. Yesterday was the first time in my 50 years here that the power company had rolling black outs. lost power for about 20 or 30 min yesterday around lunch time. Our normal low for this day is about 18, normal high is about 40. we may get to +4 today.

    Check out "marinegunbuilder" on Youtube, he is a bit long winded but does a good job. Then dive in!

    I took a different approach, similar to You tubes marinegunbuilder. Used a flush cut nippers, files and sandpaper to do the rails. I used a drill press, contrary to P-80 advise, I felt I had much better control than a hand drill. Finished the recoil guide rod channel with a small dikes and a dremel.

    Found a "gently used" Howa mini, 20" sporter barrel in 6.5 Grendel, Sent payment today. Hopefully in a week or so, need to find a good scope keeping with the light weight sporter theme.
