  1. Nice, I like the pile of brass. Good save my man, good save. <thumbsup>
  2. My only complaint is that .308 ammo costs too much. If it were cheaper, I could afford to build more rifles. <munch>
  3. That was a quick save!!! Better post 'em up! Talking about your guns without posting pics is a cardinal sin around here.
  4. Today is Veteran's Day and this is my way of honoring the brave men and women of our great country who have served, are serving, or have made a commitment to serve our country by joining the military: I heard a WWII veteran on the radio today giving a short story about his experience at Pearl Harbor. As far as I'm concerned, it was two of the most profound minutes I've experienced in a lifetime. You can listen to the story here: http://cdn.storycorps.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/listen/audio/curre.mp3 I felt pretty emotional when the story was done and I thought about the many years of sacrifice that have created and bolstered the freedom of our nation. I nearly started to cry at the thought of how we as a society have answered our veteran's sacrifice. At the same time, I felt and still feel an immeasurable pride in the courage and fighting spirit in the heart of the American warrior. There is none more honorable, bold, fearsome, courageous, courteous, and ferocious than the American serviceman. I am and always will be at YOUR service. Today, and always my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you and yours, and may God bless America!
  5. I'm getting better at what I'm doing, FGMM in my Mega Mono averages about .75 to 1 MOA these days. I'm pretty sure even that will improve in time. <thumbsup>
  6. I couldn't help thinking she gave her rifle wood.... <laughs> <lmao> <dontknow>
  7. Well, at first I just laughed... Then I read this and nearly hurt myself laughing. Stay safe out there.
  8. This was a great read, thanks for sharing. It's a very simple truth.
  9. New mattress = new place to hide new guns. <munch>
  10. What robocop said... It cannot be emphasized enough... Those new actions and chambers can be really tight (and yes, it is a metaphor you pervert <laughs>) and so you want to break them in with lots of lube.
  11. Oh sorry, the range was 100yds, it's all I've got right now.
  12. Oh, my Mega MA TEN .308 build.
  13. Had another range day today, and only had time to run about 40 rounds downrange. I got two more 5-shot groups today that can be covered with a quarter! Starting to settle in and get more consistent with each range trip. I'm also realizing how badly I need to go ahead and invest in a reloading kit, which will probably be my next big purchase.
  14. I'm modeling one particular finger right now just for you Drew! <laughs> <lmao> <munch>
  15. Wait a minute... DOES MY SIGNATURE SAY 308AR HAND MODEL?? <laughs> <lmao> Dammit Drew, you trickster.... <laughs>
  16. Let the mind games begin!!!! <thumbsup>
  17. I've got some theories that are just conjecture, but I think it's possible. I think the most likely one is that they had a contract with Douglas and once they've depleted their stock, the Kreiger barrel will become their "house brand" barrel blank for everything. I would think right now if you buy a Titan barrel that's not the Creedmoor, you're getting the Douglas, unless they've sold all their old stock. Plenty of good options too, 18.5", 20" and 22" barrels. As stated, I got the 18.5 just to try out a shorter, lighter barrel and it shoots unbelievably well.
  18. Here's the break down, Fulton Armory now sells Krieger Barrels for their M1 and M14 competition and peerless grades, and the AR barrels in 6.5 Creedmoor are Kreiger. However, if you buy their Titan 308 barrels or anything below the competition and peerless grades, you are getting a Douglas barrel. You can follow this link to see what I'm talking about: http://www.fulton-armory.com/%5Cfaqs%5CAR-FAQs%5CBarrels2.htm Then go to the Titan section and you should see that the 6.5 Creedmoor is the only AR barrel in that section that isn't labeled as a FA (Fulton Armory) barrel. <thumbsup> <thumbsup>
  19. Actually, I got rid of my 24" bull barrel set up and went with a self-built .308 AR that shoots .65MOA groups out of an 18.5" barrel. It might not necessarily be all you. I couldn't get my 24 incher to group very well either.
  20. No more so than me! I'm dying for Saturday to roll around. <munch>
  21. Good to know, I went full upgrade too. Now if only I had some idea of when my barrel will be showing up... <dontknow>
  22. Thanks for explaining that, I'll try to make it a habit. <thumbsup>
  23. LOL They are charging for all the pestering I did waiting for my carrier. I feel kinda sorry now for anyone who didn't pre-order. I can't wait to get mine!
  24. Great advice, I have heard enough horror stories about the big-box stores that I decided not to patronize them for my bow setup. I had a local shop outfit me with the bare necessities. I'm really new to this, so maybe you can break down what the proper follow-through is... I'd appreciate it! :)
  25. I'm sorry, the rifle has been sold. I should have updated the thread. In any case, I would have been unwilling to part it out... It leaves me with the temptation to do yet another build. <thumbsup>
