  1. PRI Also now has the same forend & monolithic rail combo for AR10 & LR308 ARs now... Thinking of finally building that Mk12 Mod0 mockup in .308 now...
  2. Rifle-length / Full length. Mid-Length and Carbine are not in production yet....
  3. Not complete yet, but when it is I will have many more & better pictures... This is one SWEET receiver set....
  4. Good info guys, once I get my custom build completed, reloading will take center stage.
  5. You need to consider that carefully one more time, you are right in that heat will cause expansion, but it will go in the direction of least resistance, ie into the bore which is the free area, making the hole itself SHRINK. Freezing both parts causes both to shrink, which causes the bore to GROW (ie more free area, larger bore) while the pin still shrinks. Is it making sense now?
  6. Yep, I didn't think of the freezing but that should work perfectly, it would also be my first choice because it doesn't involve any metal removal.
  7. I would try stoning a slight taper onto the ends of the pins, if they will start try to gently tap them through. If that fails, try a second set of trigger pins. I would try the drilling dead last. I'm not sure if you're concerned that the drill is undersized, but I can assure you it's going to leave you with a larger bore than .152". If you do drill, it'd be wise to use a low speed and cutting oil to try to keep the bit as cool as possible.
  8. Yes it is. I got pulled over one night after work, and neither of the two LEOs present knew how to unload & make safe my 1911. That was a major wake up call about the assumptions I'd made about LEO firearm knowledge.
  9. Congratulations! Sounds like a really fun day at the range. :) <thumbsup>
  10. That's alright, good advice TAKEN is money SAVED, I'll take advice in lieu of a loan. <thumbsup>
  11. Silly goose, you could never treat him as good as that woman. Why would she ever divorce him? Happy April Fools!!! <laughs> <lmao> <thumbsup>
  12. Go already, sheesh.... <laughs> Enjoy your vacation! <thumbsup>
  13. I've had one on order for some time now, can't wait to get it!
  14. This sounds like a good question for 98Z5V, he's an EXPERT on gas block roll pins, and he would be the first to warn you that loose gas block pins can grow a whole rifle like a dead tree grows mushrooms... SO BE CAREFUL!
  15. I do like the way rail covers make for a nice forearm... That's a big plus for rails.
  16. I have seen left and right rails carrying flashlights and laser designators, but I don't see any use for the laser designator in the civilian arena to be honest.... The top and bottom rails are a little more immediately obvious though.
  17. Welcome to the fray! Please find the nearest helpless person and proceed to infect them <laughs> <lmao> Hope you enjoy yourself here!
  18. I don't have field data, but I do know that when you have a barrel ported, the bore needs to be relieved from just behind the ports to the end of the bore to keep the bullet from being destabilized by the intersection of the ports & the bore. With a threaded muzzle device, most are already relieved. My .02 on the topic, <thumbsup> <dontknow>
  19. Glad to know it, I need to order a couple.
  20. I'll take experience over opinion any day of the week. When it comes to getting a good optic without killing my bank account, it's good to know what will do the trick. I don't have any doubt that maybe high-end optics are better and hold their value, but so far I've never encountered a situation at the range where my life would depend on my optic. There are cheap optics and there are affordable optics, I prefer the latter.
  21. I feel ya bro, getting ready to see about purchasing one here in NC. I'm down to getting the sheriff's opinion and deciding which one I want.
  22. They won't like it either, having to determine what kind of chambering a weapon has in order to deem it incorrectly marked, will turn out to be a logistical nightmare. I wish them luck implementing it.
  23. Welcome to the forums, I'm overjoyed to hear of your recent infection!
  24. <thumbsup> Simple, effective, inexpensive, and best of all, redneckish!!! <laughs> <lmao> I love it!!! <dontknow> <thumbsup>
  25. I haven't bought anything yet, I'm learning to take my time, deals will show up the instant you decide to give in and buy something at full price. I'm going to have at least 1 of 2 builds built before I start buying reloading equipment.
