    No doubt in my mind we've moved far beyond the mark our kids, grandkids, or even great-grandkids will be responsible for paying. We're not headed for any pay-off, we're headed towards a buy-out.     Those two remaining screws are for wedging the rear of the handguard open so it can be pulled off the receiver. Tighten both screws a half turn in tandem until the handguard can be pulled away from the receiver.

    The MA TEN is an Armalite patterned upper with DPMS compatible barrel nut threads. It's definitely a large AR. OP, your best bet would be to find a Mega Arms MA TEN lower.

    Yep, and a 308 round itself is 2.800" long, so you have to have that much travel at a bare minimum...

    I'm not sure who all here would know of John Prine, but I grew up laughing at his hilarious lyrics and trying not to cry when he was singing about broken people and the conditions that broke them. He was and is a national treasure, and he will be sorely missed. Happy trails John!

    If you start from all the way closed, you clear all the malfunctions between the correct setting and fully closed. If you start from fully open, you only clear the malfunction that indicates you've gone too far. If clearing malfunctions is something you enjoy, that seems like a good way to do it....
