  1. There are 2 very compelling reasons to be a sucker for punishment: #1. I get to hang out with you rat bastages and.... #2. It's very satisfying to hear (and see) a bullet strike steel at significant distance. Beating a desert rock into submission is also fairly satisfying, albeit tiresome.
  2. This right here. It's uncanny.
  3. MBT2S is a 2-stage trigger, the standard MBT is a single stage.
  4. As one of the token forum Millennials, let me just say.... That was AWESOME!
  5. Welcome to the forum! Thanks for your service.
  6. At least we'll still get to shoot it....
  7. No worries, you're good brother. I don't think anybody would doubt your experiences. I know full well myself how easily drills and reamers get dull and how tool offsets change over time. An undersized pin or an oversized bore is not difficult to believe in the least.
  8. That's true but it's also a matter of proportion. There's more similarity between the metals of the barrel extension and pin than between the barrel assembly and aluminum receiver and barrel nut. The difference in expansion in terms of the pin (and it's hole) isn't enough that it should ever float. As @98Z5V pointed out, it's an interference fit.
  9. I like a small rear bag and a bipod in conjunction, but if I had to choose only one, I'd choose the bipod.
  10. Always liked the look of the JP handguard. Nice boomstick!
  11. Excellent addition to the thread!
  12. Yes, that's what I've arranged for you to think.
  13. It's OK as long as it's one of us.... More (fire)power to you brother, I hope you win that bad mama-jama!
  14. This is quite possibly the best intro thread in our entire history...
  15. I avoid the temptation to feel that way, when he described that build as BADASS, he was understating things in his typical fashion. That gun is mind-boggling in it's capability. As the Doc said, a very impressive and persuasive build. I have no regrets, I just have about $2700 worth of more grief to give Tom before we're even.
  16. *Takes a deep breath* Let me sing you the song of the Mk12 Mod 1 build from hell. Observe the following... He confessed it himself, it's right there in plain print. In less than 8 weeks that weirdo cost me about $2800 for a Mk12 Mod 1 in 6.5 Grendel.
  17. Watch out for this guy ^^^, he's not only shady, but he's really expensive. Ask me how I know....
  18. Maybe you do too... Luckily, you can help my chances of winning it, as well as entering yourself if you wish, by following this link: https://wn.nr/XZW6rn Here's the gun:
  19. Welcome to the forum!
  20. I'll fix it, no worries.
  21. This thread has been long overdue. I am going to pin this thread as a topic for the specifics of long range shooting, as defined by ranges in excess of 500 yards for centerfire cartridges and 100 yards or more for rimfire. Here's a good video starting point: This thread (and some others) will serve to extend the classes that are given at the spring and fall shoots.
  22. Welcome from NC! Get some oil on the guts of that build, lots of it and pronto. Part of your issue is that gun is way too dry, all the parts are brand new and haven't "worn in" yet. Lube that sucker up heavy.
  23. Was it a graduated reset or did you switch between maxed out and the lowest functioning setting? Sorry for all the questions, I don't think your problem is actually your gas block, but I can't eliminate it without asking.
  24. Did you open the gas back up at any point?
